Mia, between 1969-74 Grand Funk was one of THE biggest bands in the world. Between 1969-76 they put out 12 albums and all of them are excellent. “Closer To Home” is one of their best songs, as well as being the title of one of their best albums which was released in June of 1970 and went right to number one.

It's really great to see the young generation reacting to the songs we grew up with when music was a bit different ...this band was probably the best live band there was....this song I rocked out to when I wore younger man's clothes....yes they are underrated...they aren't even in the rock and roll Hall of Fame....react to some Pink Floyd live performances

Did you know you just watched what's considered the tightest performance ever? Only two are comparable: Led Zeppelin; Since I Been Loving You; live at Madison Square Garden and Santana; Soul Sacrifice; at Woodstock. While you're at Woodstock, a do not miss is Jimi Hendrix's rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. These are all see before you die performances. And will get you a lot of likes and hopefully new subscribers!

They played like this every night. Their concerts were usually 2-3 hours long. This is probably the greatest live rock & roll performance of all time, along with Ten Years After's "I'm Going Home" live at Woodstock in 1969. Perhaps you can react to that one as well. Subbed!!!

Yes! My dad works in radio. Growing up, we got to meet different people who would come into the studio now and then. My sisters and I would have a collection of autographs from different artists, comedians, sports figures, etc. My dad also threw poker parties every weekend. One man, probably the sweetest man I’ve ever met, that was there every weekend, was Don Brewer! I didn’t know he was the drummer of the band, Grand Funk Railroad, for a long time. He was just Don to us! When we found out who he was, my sister asked him one day, “why do you guys repeat the same thing over and over again?” (Referring to the song Closer To Home - I’m Your Captain). My sisters and I also made up a dance to their version of Locomotion! Lol!
