Fantastic production, Larissa. Excellent photography, videography & narration. For a 5 day visit to Penang, it is so comprehensive. You have managed to ignite the spirit of the island. I could almost smell the mouth watering food & taste them. Although I have lived in Penang all my life, I didn't know how beautiful Penang is. Your video makes me feel so blessed to be living in a place that feels like paradise. Almost. I am sure most people living in Penang would agree with me that you have made us so proud of Penang & hope more people would visit Penang. Really we are a friendly lot & would feel most happy to welcome more tourists to our shores. Great effort. Keep up the excellent work.

I’m Singaporean and my dad was born and raised in Penang for the first thirty years of his life. I’m so stoked by the street art and how they’ve managed to maintain the old world charm while dressing it up to fit the updated look of todays culture. Once again this shows that being rich doesn’t mean one can buy or afford everything. Good art is one of them! I love how they just covered the street in colorful umbrellas as opposed to just building a permanent shade. It is so simple and yet it looks so good and the symbolism is replicated in its perfect function! My cousin and some of us feel that Penang is still pretty backward in a sense but surely the tiny and relaxed island has upgraded itself. Maybe it’s about time I head back after all these years to see my cousins and be a tourist again. Excellent video production!

Thanks so much for your kind words and informative comment. I absolutely loved Georgetown - how the original is mixed in with the new. The buildings are beautiful and the street art is world class. Umbrella alley is such a great idea. It was another favourite thing of mine to see! I’m sure there was so much more I could have found fascinating if had more time! But I’m sure I will visit again one day! 😊

You should have so many more views and likes because I enjoyed this so much more than the young couples who have to have their face in the camera the entire time. This was so professionally done with exceptional photos and videos and I enjoyed your calm concise descriptions. 👍

Excellent video Larissa, very informative and interesting. And the stills you showed were very high quality, I guess no surprise given what you do 🙂. We have been to Penang five times and going again in April 24, and you have given us new enthusiasm. One small note, that font you use (the one from WHO magazine) is a bugger to read.

Amazing Larissa! Penang is beautiful and cute. If you guys get the chance please give Shanghai, China a visit! It’s the city of lights! I’m Vietnamese, born and bred in brissie but went to Shanghai to explore for a week and it was absolutely amazing. I would recommend flying with Qantas. Love ur videos and editing!

Hi Sharon, I believe is a hop on hop off bus tour in Penang that you can do but I never it while we were there. Would be a good option to get around and see everything although traffic is a nightmare over there! 🙂

Not for me. Lived in Batu ferringhi for a while. So pleased to leave and get back to a better life. Been to Penang a few times since , stayed at the P&O nice no problem there .

Hi, I don’t think there are any specific vaccinations. I didn’t get any before going but I guess it doesn’t hurt to check with your doctor just to be safe! 😊
