Yeah sometimes in Kpop the lyrics do not make sense 😢🤣 This is a remake song, in the original ver there is also these fairies theme and small robot~ Aespa's other title tracks have lyrics which heavily related to their concept and lore (avatars, etc). "I'm slow, don't judge me" 🤣 "upside down" 🤣🤧🤧

As others may have mentioned, aespa's "Dreams Come True" is the remake of a classic hit from SM's very first Kpop girl group S.E.S. from the '90s. This whole Station project was produced by BoA -- who is an SM solo artist that has been in the industry for more than two decades -- in collaboration with Bada -- who is a member of S.E.S. Everything from the rewriting and restyling of the song, to the choice of choreography and MV concept was orchestrated by BoA, and she specifically did it all with aespa in mind because she thinks aespa is becoming the S.E.S. for the new generation. If you haven't already, you should check out S.E.S.'s original version MV in order to really understand aespa's song and MV concept. The English lines are the same lines from the original version. And the fairy wings and a lot of those dance moves are an iconic part of the original MV and choreography, it's all part of a homage to S.E.S.'s version. It was BoA's idea to give the vocalists rap lines and to showcase the power vocals of the rappers. Hence why Karina, who is the leader, main dancer and lead rapper of the group was given a main vocal part. It just goes to show you, yet again, why they are an SM group. Fun fact: Yoo YoungJin, who is an SM singer, songwriter, main producer and vocal coach, etc., is the one that does the alien rap voice in S.E.S.'s original version of "Dreams Come True." Plus, if you want to see how this whole project came about and the behind the sense of them making everything, you should check out the first episode of SM's "Re:MASTERPIECE" project. Which is a sort of a documentary look at everything that went into remastering this classic hit. (It's the video that is recommend at the end of this MV.) It was really interesting to see BoA use her years of experience and expertise to mentor aespa and to put everything she has learned in her 21 years in the industry as one of the best female singers and dancers, into creating this project.

I just accepted that confusion is part of Aespa’s concept at this point hahaha

They’re under a company called SM and tbh I’m half certain that SM’s producers and writers are either ai or on some serious drugs, because the songs coming from sm groups have had very unusual production and sometimes it results in something amazing while other times 😬… (kpop lyrics have always been hit or miss when the company is in control of the lyrics but it’s gotten better over the years.)

This girl group is the newest 4th generation KPOP group with the integration of Metaverse Concept incorporation of Digital AI and Real Human Idols. Each 4 members has their own digital counterparts and they have Marvel Like Universe storyline. This Dreams Come True is actually a remaster from an older 1st generation group and they are bridging the past and the future concept.

7:29 is apparently a made up “Alien” language🤷🏻‍♀️. There aren’t any mispronunciations either. Several of their lyrics are confusing. I heard you have to understand their Aespa world. In order to make sense of some of their lyrics, & some words unique to their world. They have beautiful vocals, but for some reason, they don’t sing live. Their music label doesn’t allow them to sing live🤦🏻‍♀️.

Dreams Come True is a remake of an already existing song. Personally not my fave. But I like the ending. If you want to see Aespa's best, in my opinion, you should watch their debut song Black Mamba. An instant hit and I personally loved it from the 1st go.

Hi there! I have some things to say about this review. First, you said that you usually like sudden beginnings, but then you said you’d like some time so that was a little bit confusing. You also commented on the lyrics, saying they’re weird and such. I disagree with both of the statements. Then you were surprised and seemed to be kind of disappointed when you found out the rap wasn’t in english. I want to tell you about my opinions and more about the song itself. I’ll start with the song: This song was specially made for Aespa self, it was actually bought by their company and used for their other band S.E.S which now was remade for these talented girls, and I think it was a great idea since they have strong enough voices for it which makes it exciting and not boring. Now onto what you said: The beginning was perfect, for me at least. When I first listened to the song I thought it would be disappointing because of the hate the girls got for their previous songs but I was pleasantly surprised and excited. About the lyrics, often times they aren’t supposed to be boring and plain, so writers make sure they are catchy and repetitive but also not too repetitive. Maybe the lyrics do not make any sense but they are easy to sing along to which makes the song interesting. Lyrics don’t always have to be imaginative, they can be very simple and wouldn’t ruin the song.
