My first time playing an 8 string guitar! 

It's really hard to tell on my tiny speaker. These little combos like the Spark and the Micro Cube don't really do low tones well. I'll do another video plugged in at some point soon to find out.

Not at all; it's essentially the same as any other guitar. ^_^ 💚 This is definitely THE one to try as far as cost goes. I kinda wish I got the 7 string instead, as the jump to 8 is a lot more adjustment than I anticipated.. 😅

@Sadtiric I mainly want an 8 string for the low end for doom stuff but I want the stability of the low end of a fan fret

@@nickteele169 The jury is still out on whether or not it makes a meaningful difference for stability. But I will say this; for whatever reason, chords (even power chords) don't really register properly when you go as low as an 8. I saw a video on why a while ago, but it was AFTER I purchased my 8 string to test it out for myself. Then there's the factor of tone loss with smaller speakers. Some headphones might be alright to represent the sound coming out of an amp, but the 8 string going straight through my Micro Cube or my Spark Mini (both of which have ~4" speakers) can't really fully showcase the lower tones. You'd want a 10" or larger speaker, I'd imagine. Perhaps even a bass amp if you're trying to isolate those lower tones. Just some food for thought! I know I haven't put out a full review yet (sorry about that) but I have been messing with it and have learned some things, so hopefully my experience helps temper some expectations! I still have no regrets on buying this guitar, as I wouldn't have learned all I did otherwise, but it isn't quite as useful as I had hoped. At least not yet!. 💚
