So agree with the Byodo In Temple! We spent 2 weeks on Maui and Oahu and it was definitely one of my favorite things we did. So simple and serene but so so underrated!!

Just took my daughters there for the first time in September it was amazing we had record snow where we are from at the time and a little rain honestly felt pretty dang good at times

Hawaii is green, because it rains so much (the wettest spot on earth is Mt. Waialeale on the island of Kauai)... and, science says that the best place to see a rainbow on earth is in Hawaii!

A tip for renting a car in Hawaii. Reserve the cheapest car available but ask for an upgrade to a convertible at check-in. Wife and I got a convertible for only $10/day more than a Kia Rio!
