After reading the comments, i actually don't mind if you watch this in sub or dub. For me, i watched this in sub just because i'm a japanese VA fan. I have some of my favorites and i always love hearing their voices in anime. So i'm really happy when you watch these 2 episodes in sub. But if you want to change to dub, i'm 100% okay! Just do what makes you feel more comfortable 😊 Also i'm sorry for the toxic comments that you got :( And again, do whatever makes you happy. It's okay to stay away from those comments. Sorry about your experience with your Death Note reactions, I really enjoyed them. I don't know why, but certain fandoms are like that, at least some small subset. Also excited to see your reaction to this show. I think this is one of the few shows where going with dub isn't controversial.

As other people have mentioned in the comments, you should try watching FMAB in dub! It seems to be one of the few anime’s to have a dub considered to be on level, if not better than the sub. Plus there’s a lot of info to follow so it makes it a bit easier not having to read all the dialogue. Anyway, this is an absolutely fantastic series to binge right through. You’ll definitely enjoy it, don’t worry about the length. And screw the death note people hating on you. it’s one thing to have an opinion but to be hateful towards someone with a different opinion is obnoxious. I hope you finish that series on your own though because it’s a good one

The bracers on the freezing alchemist's arms act as apparatuses he uses to accelerate and decelerate water molecules. For example, when the molecules in water decelerates, it cools down. If it accelerates, it heats up.

I'm excited for you to experience this show! I don't normally recommend the english dub, but the voice actors in this dub are so good! I'm so sorry about those comments you mentioned from the DN fanbase. I noticed DN tends to have a lot of sociopaths unfortunately. Please know that I value your opinions and thoughts and appreciate your intelligence. While I am sad about the loss of future episodes, I don't want you to have additional anxiety about comments in addition to the work of dealing with yt claims stuff. Thinking about the future, you might benefit from having some moderators to deal with both potential spoilers and insensitive crankypants (and trolls of course). The bigger your channel gets, the more crazies will pop through down here. Whatever you decide, don't give the haters power over you! It's okay to make mistakes, and keep in mind that a lot of commenters are likely dumb, young males, which we know there is a surplus of on the internet. I support you, Alana.

Eric is called Fullmetal Alchemist because of his metal arm and his brother is bonded to a suit of armor. I have watch the original and remake (Brotherhood) several times. It is my second favorite anime next to Inuyasha.

Edited for additional content. While I regret that you are stopping deathnote, I fully understand that it is better for you. It is always sad when the community is toxic. On the upside: FULL METAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD! This is my favorite anime of all time, (Although a few other come close) and I am super excited to see you take this journey. If you prefer dubs, this one is great, but the sub is equally as great, so do whatever you prefer. I am sure you will get people talking on both sides. I fall more on the dub side, but I do not begrudge anyone watching how they prefer. A few non spoiler notes on the setup of the world that the show implies, but rarely states. Alchemy is a science in this world. Pretty much everyone has the power to use it, but not everyone has the knowledge to do so. It requires a lot of knowledge, as well as an "Array" (also called a transmutation circle) to perform the change. Each circle does one specific thing, like the one on Mustang's glove changes the air to be more flammable. (his glove is made of a special material that creates a spark when he snaps.) Alchemy changes the structure of matter, so it can be used to reshape most anything, but the more complicated the material, the more knowledge it takes to do so. Thus, creating an iron spear is easy, closing a wound is more difficult. Some circles are more flexible, like the ones Issac the Freezer has on his hand/glove can change the temperature of water, freezing or boiling it, but those circles cannot change iron or stone. Most alchemists have a specialty, like Issac knows about water really well, or Mustang knows fire, but they are capable of transmuting other substances with the right circle and knowledge. Ed stands out because he does not need the circle, so can transmute anything he knows enough about on the fly, without redrawing a circle. Also, most alchemists have a certain style. You may notice that Ed and Al will make hands, Armstong makes his face on things etc. There is an aesthetic or artistic approach to a lot of alchemy that come forth at times. Automail (like Ed's arm and leg) is not unheard of, but is really only used on missing limbs, so it is not super common, especially on a kid his age. State Alchemists are hired by the government, and are a part of the military. There are also alchemists that are not affiliated with the state. All state Alchemists have a code name (the Flame Alchemist, Freezing Alchemist, Strong Arm Alchemist, etc). Anyway, those are things that I have seen a lot of reactors get hung up on, as the show does not always make it super clear early on, so I hope that helps! Relax, enjoy the ride, and all your questions will be answered!

Personally I think the first 20 or so episodes of that original that follow the manga are more enjoyable than episodes of Brotherhood that cover the same material, but that's neither here nor there. Also I'm not sure what the public opinion is, but I enjoyed 'Conquerer of Shambala', the film sequal to the original.

glad more people are enjoying Fullmetal Alchemist as it's a brilliant series in and of itself. I'm a dub preference on this series but either is perfectly fine really, acting throughout is topnotch no matter what and pitch perfect for each character. It's one of the few times I can actually say I prefer the dub to the sub as I don't hold with dubbing on the whole anymore.

Since i listened to the dub I can never see Ed in the same way. Vic Magniogna really completed Edward in the best way possible. It was the rarest occurrence… a good dub, no a great dub! I truly recommend it. Tbh, now Ed sounds like Boruto to me and I just can't haha

We are all experiencing the way you feel about Death Note. It's the worst feeling the first time I watched. But, after years of meditating my mental health, I decided to rewatch from episode 1, and I managed to finish it. Don't listen to others, but you can watch it again after several years of mental preparation.
