I love how Lucifur shit talks Adam by saying that not only did he steal Lillith from Adam but tapped Eve when she came to hell

Something very understated when Adam died, he smiled when he saw Lute. Don't get get me wrong, Adam was a shithead and caused everything that led to him dying, but someone on twitter made a point that adds a bit of depth to his character. He was betrayed in some way by Lilith and Eve, the former leaving him and the latter eating the fruit, but Lute was fiercely loyal to him. So his final moment seeing her concerned about him may have caused him genuine happiness having someone he can count on and who cares about him be the last thing he sees. Again, he's an ass, but just that blink and you'll miss it scene adds a lot to his character, I think

In the pilot, Angel asked what happens when he dies. I think the reason Sir Pentious is in heaven is because he died in a way that redeemed him. The reason sinners get revived back in hell when they die is because they died without redeeming themselves or didn't have any plan to change when revived.

Lucifer beating the shit out of Adam with his bare hands was so cathartic I loved it

I screamed so much during these 2 episodes but Sir Pentious was also my favorite. I had just accepted that no one would be redeemed and the hotel would become a safe space for demons that wanted to do better. And then THAT happened.

Even if Pentious died he's in a much better place now.

I hope season 2 will have charlie exploring her powers more. I mean, alastor and the cannibal talk about how she's for sure powerful like lucifer, she was able to create a trident that could hurt adam despite not being an angelic weapon, her attitude changed with her calling adam a pig(great moment), and she was able to use some kind of power that just nullified Adam's power to where he was like "oh, wait. What the fuck?"

My favorite moment from this finale is probably when adam attacks lucifer and charlie. When charlie stops Adam's attack, and lucifer just starts punching him in the face. It's such a good moment

This season is a 9/10 only because it's rushed due to being limited to 8 episodes. It's hard to pick a favorite character so i won't. It's also hard to pick a favorite song, but i'd probably go with ready for this

I really hope in season 2 Charlie explores more of her powers in the fights you can tell she was holding back a lot and there was moments I was yelling at the tv and telling her to do something 😅

I think Alistor is going to use his deal with Charlie - one favor that doesn't hurt anyone - next session to get out of his binds. I'm really looking forward to where this story goes from here!

My favourite part was Charlie enbracing her powers and sll the time along lilith was up in heaven or somewhere brighter than hell, of course, and made some sort of deal . I was happy to see sir pentious go to heaven since it was half of my theory of bim dying in honour of being such a great help to the hotel, which could also mean the theory of her owning Alastors soul strengthens since alastor went for Adam first the biggest and most harmful threat also meaning what if he deal with alastor was so her dream to get a soul in heaven or to help her make her dreams come true in return for more power but his soul would have to be traded?

A lot of new fans are confused why alastor was defeated and Lucifer didn't even need to use 10 percent of his power to destroy Adam.... The reason is Alastor is just an overlord of hell, and ranks way below in the hierarchy as compared to Hell's royalty, sins and Charlie and Lucifer. And when it comes to angels, Alastor doesn't even stand a chance. Whereas, Lucifer, even though he's a fallen angel, he still overpowers Adam in a heartbeat, (just see what a single punch did to him) , because Lucifer was still a really high ranking angel , you can see it in the wings too. Adam and the exorcists have only a pair, whereas Lucifer and the seraphims have 3 pairs. At the end of the day, it was between a human soul who became an angel, and a really powerful (fallen) angel.

Wouldn't it be extremely funny if Adam woke up in hell next season? I'm honestly kind of surprised, was expecting Lute would die and Adam would be redeemed but it seems it's going to be the other way around.

This was fantastic so can’t wait for the 2nd season which was Greenlit - Sir Pentious (my favorite character) first died in 1888 & with his 2nd being the present which resulted him in now as an Angel which is kind of interesting it was a snake that was the first one to be redeemed since it was a snake that tricked Adam & Eve out of the Garden of Eden & it’s interesting that Sir Pentious died by Adam’s hand because they are both voiced by Alex Brightman - Niffty is voiced by Kimiko Gleen who also voices Susan the cannibal from the last episode, Lena (DuckTales -2017), Peni (Spider-verse), Kiff (Kiff), Nomi (Dogs in Space), Horse (Centaurworld), Paperstar (Carmen Sandiego), Ezor (Voltron), & many more

Everybody is talking about how Eve got with lucifer too, but for me he was just talking about the fruit he offered to her, he did the sex pose to mess with Adam, but if he really did make up with eve would be an interesting plot

Sir Pentious is my favorite character too lol. When he got blasted I went on a huge rant about how my favorite things always get taken away haha. So glad a snake was the first soul redeemed haha.

I just had a scary thought: If Sir Pentious gets to go to Heaven after his second Death, who's to say that we are really set free from Adam???

Sir Pentious is the man

I just realized Adam might actually come back even if he was killed by an angelic weapon. As far as we know there’s no evidence that an angelic weapon would permakill an angel. Not to mention Pent got hit point blank by a beam of angelic power and survived.

No one yet has commented that the little bit of bonding between Angel and Husk the night before has an instrumental version of ‘loser baby’ playing in the background

I wish Sir Pentious actually managed to do something before Adam destroyed his blimp, and that Charlie got to do a bit more in the fight in general, but those are more nitpicking than anything. And in episode 7, I don't have much to complain about. I love what Sir Pentious was trying to do, and I really wanted to see Adam get hit by the death ray as the only time it ever does anything before it got destroyed. I feel like it would've rounded out the war machine obsession he had, with it finally doing something.

As cool as all of this was, I can't help but think that the show was severely crippled from the start. There were so many good plot ideas that could have been explored, but Amazon really put handcuffs on the writers by only giving them 8 episodes to work with. Everything was way too rushed and had no real time to breathe.

I enjoyed this so much, I got myself lost in a crazy theory right after. But today I remember that Vivienne said she envisioned a three season arc and that this one had a happy ending, the original Star Wars occurred to me. That the worst-case I thought for the end of 2 was that Charlie actually does the favor (which we are all pretty sure is getting Alastor out of his contract) happens not in the finale but like mid season. And while I think the hotel is last on his list (and he has more of a background plan), I fear for Lucifer. Basically he is the only path in his way and if he can control Vaggie and Angel Dust, then he is the right hand of the Queen who he will have guided into being an active and beloved leader.

Like Husk said, Alastor is on some kind of leash, and I’m very interested to find out who’s holding it

All of the alastor fans...chilll...we love him too, and without him hazbin hotel wouldn't be as interesting...but whether he was being held back or not, canonically, he's not at all as powerful as charlie or lucifer (yet, not saying he won't be in the future), Plus, I loved that Adam was able to defeat Alastor with ease, cuz itll build character.. Alastor always wants to be the most powerful person in the room, and this has given him perspective, he had never been challenged before...he might be the most powerful overlord, but he's still no match for heaven or demon royalty yet...and that's going to make for an interesting story, cuz we don't know what he'll do next.

Lute and Adam where my favorite part of this show and now im just so upset I Don’t know how they’re gonna drag me back for season two like this.

There were many expecting the death of Sir Pentious after it was said that AngelDustxHusk would be a slow burn and both Alastor and Vaggie are too important to kill off in first season. I suspected the villain Asam would die as it fits an old formula for cartoons/anime for first villaan to die in season 1 which sets up for season 2 villain to appear. And there's were I get mixed feelings. That ending, not sure if Lilith would be the big Season 2 villain, or simply the red herring and instead be the pawn of true villain= Lute. It depends on if Sera is going to be a villain or not. If not, then Lute likely will be final villain in season 3 (it's set up to be 3 seasons). If Sera is a villain, then she's likely the final boss and Lut will either die in final of Season 2, or last to 3 and die before confrontation with Sera.

Sounds weird... but my favorite moment was seeing Pentious in Heaven ^^

While this show is obviously not super-focused on power-scaling (which is for the best), I honestly think the progression it shows was pretty well-thought-out nonetheless. Charlie, being the daughter of the first angel, obviously would be powerful, but her kind nature really prevents her from realizing her potential. And she had to be pushed to the point where she needed to embrace that. First, she was fighting for survival. Then, after Pentious died, she was fighting for vengeance. But it wasn't until she was put into a position to save someone she loved from an imminent attack that she unleashed what she was capable of, matching Adam's power. Which hearkens back to the theme of needing to fight for the sake of love.

back to what i said last episode what if lucifer , lilth and Eve made plan together for them to change the tide or are working with God or a high rank archangel recarding how sinners can be redeemed but none of them wants to tell charlie anything because in ep 5 lucifer contacted someone in heave to open the portal so it had to be lilith because the talk between adam and lucifer it looks like lucifer is still in contact with eve who replaced lilith as charlie mom because they both know lilith cant leave heaven dude to some reasons which is no longer in effect cause adam is died so yh im curious to what season 2 have in store

I don’t think Lilith is the one that has a leash on Alastor. I think Sera Seraphim does. I think Lilith got into heaven Alastor followed behind and ran into Sera. I have a few theory’s from there tbh. Maybe Sera realised he could be a solution to the extermination that she reluctantly agreed too. Maybe she feels overlords are the true problem, not the general population of hell. And who is great at killing overlords? Alastor. Maybe he was there training all these 7 years - how did he end up knowing a shield spell to hold the angels off after all?
