You’re gonna need a filler guide. Some of it is slice of life, but a lot of it is random plots that involve new characters for no reason and typically they interrupt the actual story by interfering with the progression.

this was a good 1st episode. i remember reading this in shonen jump before it aired on cartoon network and was excited to see these parts animated. iruka said "take those goggles off and put this headband on. this isn't digimon."

I would recommend looking up an episode guide that tells you which episodes are filler and which ones aren’t otherwise you will probably be watching this show for a few years, but regardless I will be watching the reactions either way. Super excited to watch along with you because there aren’t a lot of people on RU-vid that have reacted to it.

@@clarisacalderon9555 I know that, I’ve watched the filler episodes, what I’m saying is that it’s up to her if she wants to watch them or not but personally I watched the filler episodes after I finished the canon episodes and for the most part some of them were kinda boring in my opinion.

sorry man, its just the way you approached it like of course she wouldn't want to watch the fillers. like it was a given. and like...yes they have stuff the manga doesn't...but it is still properly part of the show. people worked hard on those. it feels kindof sad people dismiss it when alot of fun stuff can be found in filler arcs. though I also get your point it WOULD save on time. but she could miss on some pretty fun moments you know?@@SLITHERIS

@@clarisacalderon9555 yea I totally understand what you mean, you just also have to remember that the main reason that the creators chose to make the filler episodes was because they needed more time to finish the manga first so for some of the arcs they ended up being a little lackluster and a waste of time to watch (In my opinion) since nothing is canon it felt like the writers weren’t trying as hard. The real point of my initial comment was to just inform her that if she did want to skip the filler episodes that an episode guide is really useful.

I didnt recognize it before, but naruto painted how he was feeling on the inside on the face of the third hokage. Sobbing with running eyes and a runny nose, inadvertently showing his deep sadness and depression. I didnt pick up on it necessarily when i saw this in first grade.

Im so happy to see you embracing this show at its earliest! Youre in for an emotional journey for sure. Some of these early episodes are incredible and i cant wait to see your reaction In terms of filler- I reccomend looking up a guide and then reading the summaries of the filler episodes. There are so many in the og series, especially later on, and some you might like but some are full on side quests that are never brought up again lol

6:30 “should’ve been practicing” That’s the worst part of this scene. He’s been practicing clone jutsu since he was a small child. He actually studied a LOT in the academy, it just never came as easy to him as it did to others. Which makes him saying “I really wanted to graduate” hurt so much more

One thing Naruto has over other anime is it's incredible JP VA's. I strongly recommend watching in JP dub if that is something you would consider. The two most badass characters of the show have great EN VA's, but the JP VA's are killing it for like 80% of the characters instead of not even 10% for the EN VA's. I'm sure it would impact your watching experience positively!

Well on crunchy roll (the site I think she is using) the episodes are split up into 9 seasons but each episode is labeled 1 though 220 so that probably confused her.
