yeaahh, i grinded almost a year without paying to neaaarly reach jet tier. first kill in sim with the Horten229 was just the best experience in this game for me so far xD
@@saschakruger3576 I fly with mouse and keyboard just fine, I just wish more people would come over and play Sim, we sure as hell need more players! Dogfights are super intense and fun!
Welcome to Simulator. CAS cannot hurt you here, for nobody is good enough at CAS to play it. Neither are bushmen, for bushmen are at a disadvantage here. Welcome, to the most fair ground experience this game has to offer.
My experience is diferent. Sometimes no planes go up, or litle planes go up, and other times, there's 10 planes in the start of the match Dat bomb our team in like 2 mins and match is over
CAS in ground sim can still get a lot of kills, and they have the advantage of spawning with tanks instead of having to get SP to get planes. Still the best mode though.
Personally, I love simulator battles. Here are some tips Gun sights are no longer placed in the gun, it's placed where the actual gunner optics is. So parallax must be accounted for BRs rotate every 1-2 days. The 2 simulator matches are either "lower tier" or "high tier". Think of the lower tier as the WW2-matchmaker, and higher tier is the cold-war matchmaker. Aircraft are definitely easier to fly with equipment like joystick. Enjoyable video to watch.
I like the default gunsight view they have in SB, they should make that the default gunsight view for RB to be honest, will make the skill ceiling higher.
same, if bushes are only suppose to be cosmetic, than they should work like they do as is in arcade only. You know, the mode where you get auto detected and bushes actually provide no gameplay benefit like they are advertised as.
Yeah if the bushes are just cosmetic make there an option to be able to disable cosmetics when viewing the enemy team. But we know they won't do that cause it ain't just cosmetic at this point
I've played Simulator exactly once. I decided to play 5.3 Germany so I was teamed up with Japan, the country that has access to Shermans in their main tech tree. After seven friendly fire incidents I just left the game.
Yea the takeoff watch your teammates kill each other, watch bombers argue which base is theirs to bomb, mindlessly climb only to get shot down by a guy who has more guns than you in a Russian plane that has a secret jet engine while being a prop And then you return to the hangar with 45 RP and -1400 sl
@@connivingkhajiitYou just gotta communicate, and eventually with some experience you'll recognize what planes are not friendly depending on what nation you main
@@BitchenMarsRockstar I usually click to battle, and then I just do something else while I wait. Read a book, draw, watch some Malzi, you know. It usually doesn't take more than 4 mins if you have all servers selected
I like sim (except planes, fuk planes, can't pilot them lol), but there's just one thing I can't pull out. Short range shots in weakspots of for example is6 are painful cuz of gunner sight. I always miss by shooting too much to one side lol
What I find funny is in simulator battles the bushes that are on the front are objects so you cant see, it took me a whole 10 minutes of trying different things before I realized that what it was.
Do remember that you are not looking out of your barrel any more, and you will need to account for parralax with your shots. Hence those ground derps with the 2S3.
@@Scrogan as someone who has suffered in Sim while using a Leo 1a5, where the optics are *way* above the gun and to the right. it can be horrendously difficult to aim without a custom sight made for SIM.
Simulator battles, the only place where I respect CAS since you actually need some skill Also be sure Malzi that you download custom sighs, it will help you a lot
LOL bro really said you need skill for CAS in sim :| It really isn't hard to fly over an area, spot an enemy, turn around and chuck a bomb on him ahaha
@@SweetSniper5197meh, for people that don’t play simulator it would seem difficult. For someone like me and you though, I’m sure we could mop folks up 😂
@@SweetSniper5197In cockpit yes you will need not only flight skills, ordnance knowledge but also general knowledge on vehicles since we dont have marking on teammates...but in your game mode with you 3°PV where you just point to where the plane should go its the way you said!!
For sure part 2! Basically, yes, sim battles are way more difficult, then realistic. But if you will manage to handle first two weeks, you will taste it, as a damn good cognac.
I really like sim battles from time to time. Sometimes they are frustrating, sometimes they pay off really good. Today I had a match in my CV90105 where I made more than 16k RP, which is pretty nice.
hey man just wanna say you might wanna try Relative Controls under the Full Real settings for plane controls i personally find it much more easier to use in Sim instead of the mouse joystick one Gaijin set as default, also try using your rudders on take off to keep straight its much more easier to use your rudder keys than your mouse
Simulator battles are so fun, I find it easier to Play then realistic Also, you need a stick kit or whatever its called to fly planes in war thunder simulator battles
I have a flight stick and rudder pedals. And I can do somewhat well level flying. But I think I need a stick with a force feedback so I have a better feeling what my plane is doing. You know, like how some of the newer steering wheels has now
i absolutely love flying in sim. took me awhile to be proficient in flying there but its so much fun when you figure it out. a tip for flying in sim since you did it a few times this vid. generally speaking, planes DO NOT LIKE YOU when you full stick back with them in sim. thats why at the end there you couldnt control your AD4. if you try taking off the AD4 again, but pull up at like half stick back the AD4 wont roll over on you like it was in the vid. im suprised the Ju87 and the 2 engine you flew let you full stick back as generally very few planes like that, especlally props. generally speaking, the slower you go, the less "authority" you will have over your plane and the more likely it will roll on you and make you lose control. if you ever feel the plane not respond to you, ease off the stick a little and you should feel it begin to do what you want again. hope this helps if you choose to fly/play sim again :p
I guess better advice would be to check out how planes actually fly and what stall is. Plane rolls / you lose control not because of "less authority", you lose control because of stall. And to regain control you simply need to reduce angle of attack. The general idea of stall induced roll is: normally when you increase angle of attack / pull back stick - lift is increasing. And if you try to roll plane or if any turbulence / prop wash etc induces roll - your wings will have different angle of attack: wing that goes up will have reduced angle of attack and wing that goes down will have increased angle of attack. As result you will have greater lift force on the wing that goes down and it creates moment of force to resist initial roll input and make plane stable. But when you pull up too hard and pass the critical angle of attack - lift actually decreases when you increase angle of attack further. Additionally you have other various effects like movement of wing focus because of flow separation and depending on wing shape it will have different nose up or nose down behavior. But speaking simply about roll - in stall conditions wing that goes down will have lesser lift and plane will have moment that does not resist roll - but aggravate it. As result - any inaccurate stick input or turbulence - and your wing literally falls down like it has no support at all, you cannot correct that with ailerons at all and you either need rudder input or push down stick a bit. To add - you want to to push rudder only if you understand what are you doing and why: usually it's either stall behavior test or you need to pull maximum available critical angle of attack at low speed in order to get a fire solution. But definitely not take off.
@@deadlymecury ah yes you know so much, very impressive m8. i was just explaining why he was struggling to control his AD4 in a simple way so that next time he chooses to fly it and other planes he wont crash on take off -_- not everyone cares so deeply about aviation and its a simple game not reality. so instead of explaining the mechanisms of flight, i chose to explain what went wrong in a fashion anyone can understand that applys to the game. i couldve used my "oh so great knowledge" its a wall of text thats unneccessary for such a simple fix
As someone who plays with historical sights and sight placement, seeing people so spoiled on default struggle gives me some good shadenfrued. 😂 I really with Gaijin made such things default, it really adds character to each vehicle as well as realism. All in all, a great video.
Setting the controls is essencial in air Sim. Inverting the virtual joystick is waay more intuitive, and add at least a control to raise and lower pilot’s head
The reason your aircraft goes to the side and feels off is because your aircraft isn’t trimmed, there are key binds to help but just remember it’s not a one size fits all and you can save your trim settings with another key bind. Generally it is a lot easier to fly with a stick but it’s not impossible on mouse.
@@iamhere6893 Trimming aircraft is basically adjusting how your control surfaces (elavator, rudder, and aileron) sit so that you can maintain the desired attitude.
@@othala3301 Great idea! Go ahead and do that and tell me how it goes. Now if you don't want to wear your keyboard out in 5 sim matches just adjust your trim when you takeoff and get to decent alt its not complicated.
That was great. You've obviously complete mastery of WT strategy and tactics, it was fascinating to see you grappling with the sim part. I have the opposite problem - I can cope with the sim part (I am gude at flit simz....) but have a very poor idea how the game works. Really enjoyed that, thanks.
Takes time and fiddling with the controls (especially for flying) but man once you get the hang of it I promise you will never go back to RB. Don’t be discouraged, I am on keyboard and mouse and fly fine now. Patience and practice!
Don't feel bad about that 5-minute wait to get into a game, hell I get that when I am trying to get in a regular RB game most of the time But that was amusing Thanks for the Vid
Very funny seeing someone that don't play sim battles playing or the first time and figuring out the controls to fly a plane and the complicated that it is but also very funny. Except when you enter a flat spin that you can not get out
When taking off in an aircraft in Sim, you need to adjust your rudder trim, there should be a control for it (you set the rudder trim to somewhere in between 0-100%(requires tweaking the %value until you are move straight), and it will stay in that fixed position), this will prevent you from having to use the entire rudder, which required you to keep pressing the rudder controls as it isn't able to be set to a fixed angle. this should help to keep your plane straight on the runway.
ive played a few hundred games in sb mostly in planes but i can relate to your strugle first time trying to fly in sim was a pain in the beginning but now its alright still playing on k/m. n a general tip for playing ground sim the gun sight is no longer in the barrel its where the actual gunner optic is. sorry for broke england lol
Lmao as someone who literally only plays Sim. Its really cute to see you struggle with taking off :D Sim is a different world, but tbh since i've got the hang of it, i've never played the other game modes again lol Pls Part 2
The moment I saw you trying to fly for the first time, I knew you'll be crashing. Here some tips for better flying, 1) set trim keybinds, 2) beware diving at 30° angle and aim at the bottom of the sight for improve bomb accuracy, 3) beware of allies made tanks in axis teams, most team killing happens because of misidentified of tanks.
When ground was first released I played only sim as it was a normal game mode back then. You had one tank and that's it. So when I came back to the game my techies looked like I drilled hole into them XD
