good fold AQs, potentially he had KK,JJ,possible 10,10, AKs also possible if he seemed nitty cos you were blocking Aces and Qs. Great win Benji

Yeah, from my experience playing this week AQ can screw you over against a player like that. You read the player, I felt he also had pocket pair. If you lost your losing 40k chips and hanging on for decent placement. Earlier on in the tornument, say 30+ people left. I'd of risked it. Knowing my luck he'd have pocket A's and I'd be out

AQ good fold . You always have to think what you beat , not what you have . If you say his snug , would he shuv with AJ? Every thing else your flipping

03:52 cBet should be smaller imo, it serves the same purpose and you risk fewer chips. Id go 3500

Probably a good fold on AQ , I think the chart would most definitely say call, however a player read is in my opinion better and the most important tool when playing tournament poker

As soon as I folded I knew it was a mistake. Just at the time I had played on the previous table with this person and they seemed pretty tight only putting all their chips in with big pairs + AK/AQ So i figured I was flipping at best. Now thinking about it a more realistic range for them would have been any pair and a lot of Ax type hands.

Definitely a style that will beat microstakes MTTs. Great result for £2 mate! AQs is a snap call vs any opponent here. As a default I would call ATs/AJo+, 66+ and potentially KQs, then adjust vs the opponent. Regs know to shove A5s and all pairs as well as a lot of broadways. Recreational players are far more likely to limp small pairs, weak aces and hands like QJ, but they are also likely to limp hands like AA, KK and QQ, so a shoving range is likely strong, but not nutted.
