Nice new haircut mate! Fully understand your point of view regarding being a wet shaving hobbyist. I also own a mountain of top US artisan shave soaps and aftershaves/balms. Shaving is no more a chore. It has become one of the most relaxing and pleasant ways of taking care of my internal mental peace.

RR Santa Maria is one of my all-time favorite shave soap scents. The soap has a little menthol but the aftershave does not. Not the best lather but still gives an enjoyable shave every time. Good to see you, David!
I’m enjoy all the different knots and use them separately, for synthetic I like them better creating a bowl lather and the natural hair is for the kill soaps and face lathering.
Yeah they all have their place. I just can't understand trying to make a synthetic that feels like a badger. Thats synthetic producers telling you badger is superior by trying to copy the feel and performance. Its never been acheived and never will be. Wig makers have been trying for years and years to make synthetic hair feel like real human hair and have failed and telling people synthetic feels the same as natural is a lie.
I still love me some razor rock and that Santa Maria is one of my favorite from them. I love the scent in it and I like the soap base they use in those jars.

Welcome back. Hope you find the dog! Agreed. Synthetics such as muhle STF are good but Badger and boar are better. Try squeezing the base of the synthetic knot out to remove some water. It works for me. Or just use badger. Lol
