Nice upload Ivan. Great looking piece 👍 lovely dial. Worth the money... Sure is if you're moving in those circles 😏 stealthy wealthy - love it. Thanks.
not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my brother for the last few weeks =)
What a beautiful watch! I have decided going forward all watches in my collection will either have a blue or green dial. I might throw a teal one in if I can find one. LOL I just received my Pagani design Tag Heuer homage that you reviewed a while back and it's a beautiful watch at 43 mm. The only negatives are the back play on the bezel and the crown movement is quite stiff and hard to keep the minute hand from moving when you screw down the crown. Good thing is I can't afford this watch you just reviewed today so no worries buying that one. LOL thanks again!
Haha thanks for that... well at $50 you can't go far wrong with that Pagani. As for this piece, it's beautiful indeed but you're not alone in being unable to afford it - I can't either! :)
Distressed leather tan strap would match the brilliant blue sunburst dial. Good to know about anchor escapement. UN resisted temptation to put more complications so that beautiful enamel dial could be gazed upon frequently. Mini circle for split seconds could have been little different shade of blue
Yeah I agree regarding the date circle - I think would be better if it were also blue. Seeing on distressed leather like that would also be interesting! :)
Personally, I’m not into dress watches at all. However, this is an impressive watch. The movement is very interesting. I also like how they used screws on the caseback instead of having a snap-in.
Thanks for that - interestingly I showed this to another enthusiast recently and they also said something like "I'm not into dress watches but I do like that one!".
A beautiful watch with even more awesome in-house movement. +1 per day? that is really remarkable, I should say. Unfortunately, Ulysse Nardin's market demands and reputation have gone down for last many years, specially in USA & Asian countries, so I believe that you can pick up Ulysse Nardin watches at rather deep discounted prices. However, still very strong in Eastern European & in Russia, as I heard. It has the horology and some great movements, but when I look at their watch line ups, I find that there is no continuity nor focus. Strangely, it is all over the place, design wise. When I look at their "El Toro perpetual automatic" or "Diver Black sea automatic with yellow colors", I kind of wonder...."Why?????? would they do that?" I believe that they really need to focus on certain models and develop the marketing and reputation, as Tudor Black Bay did few years back. Anyway, thanks for Ulysse Nardin review. Refreshing to see something unique and different than what you normally do. Thanks Ivan and good day to you.
Thanks for that Alex, some good and valuable thoughts there that I have no chance to come across myself. Good feedback for UN! I had quite a good time with this watch :)
That's my problem with high end expensive traditional dress watches. After a few grand, they'll never going to look any more expensive, unless you go in there with a microscope or the watch itself is blinged up with diamonds. In a way, I'm quite lucky that my watch buying decision is driven by the style/design, otherwise I'd be broke living on instant noodle by now. My only high end grail watch is Urwerk UR-210. It's not blinged up with gold or diamond, which can be faked, but people will know it's not a cheap watch because of its party tricks. 😁
I'm inclined to agree with those thoughts... that Urwerk is a stunning watch, certainly very special! I guess I might count myself "lucky" for being quite a long way off having any chance whatsoever at considering owning such a piece! :) Mmm... instant noodles! Check out this clip I put up nearly 3 years ago and is still winning me views: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-taMrLVLIars.html PS. Spot the watch I'm wearing in there
@@PerthWAtch I really can't recognise the watch you're wearing. As for the Urwerk, there's a reason why I called it a grail watch, I'm not supposed to be able to obtain it. Has anyone ever found the real holy grail from the Bible that this expression was based on? Nope. If you can afford your "grail watch" then it's not a grail watch.
Pretty sure Harrison Ford found it in the late 1980's...? ;P It was a Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon GMT... a lovely piece, I think I'm gonna have to go "borrow" that back!
Mr. V. Putin recently have been wearing very similar almost exactly the same design wristwatch, just from different brand called IWC. You said it's 40mm watch which is quite compact size, but somehow when you showed it wears way bigger more like 44-45 mm watch... are you sure this is 40mm size?
Perhaps you feel it wears large because dress dials generally seem so - a tool watch with this size dial would be closer to 46mm case size. It's 40mm, but don't just take my word for it, check UN official listing and see what they say ;)
