Good explenation, Iunderstand everything :) One thing worth to emphasis is that jumping from Primitive to Semantic is a huge step up in terms of complexity and managing style guide. Would be great to present that different levels of complexity in one of the lessons.

Could you please also make a video from the developers perspective, or give a some guidelines here in the comments. If there are several levels, how should we as developers adhere to that and create the nesseccary CSS in a way that is both simple and understandable from when inspecting components in figma in dev mode, and seeing a large string with the tree structure of the color. Let's say for example, we have the following strcture: 1. Primative 2. Semantic 3. Components Where components has sub levels such as 1. Buttons/primary, Buttons/secondary 2. Background/default, Background/brand And so on and so forth, the variable name for the developer in figma would like "Components Colors / Componenets / Buttons / Primary / button-primary-bg". How should a developer handle this, and what is best practice to be able to incorperate this into CSS. Thank you in advance.

Hey @disco_lu, nice series, thank you. One question bothers me though. Why would you want to store sizes in primitives, if in the tokens are 1⭤1 with the size? Why would you possibly want to alias it in semantic tokens vs just using actual values? While it make a lot of sense for things like color (you may want to change your neutral colours, brand colours, etc), but I can't think of a use case when your size-8 becomes 12 instead of 8. You don't seem to use a base/grid variable in your system, so it feels quite redundant? I'd love to see a rationale behind it, perhaps I'm overlooking something.

After Effects like scripts would be awesome but, at this point, it is just better to allow us to edit HTML, CSS and Java Script of of any element. + 1000% to power of Figma.

Why did you not let the component token reference the semantic token instead of a primitive token?
