Great vlog! Glad you got to experience your first wing coaster. Raptor looks so underrated, I'm glad to hear it rides awesome. Congrats on your first SLC, they're a rite of passage for enthusiasts around the world lol. Very cool that your first got to be a rare bonus-helix model.
Raptor is honestly such a good ride. The layout itself is lacking a little, but for a prototype (first ever Wing Coaster) it's really good. The thing that makes this coaster so good is the Theming. The theming is awesome and it just looks good, along with the theming come the near-miss effects, they are so well executed and you really feel like you are about to loose your feet. The Station, Trains and near-misses in the spaghetti-bowl section (2nd Half) are the main contributors that make this ride so good in my opinion. The drop is also really awesome. The SLC was honestly awesome on my first ride, I expected it to be way worse than it actually was. My 2nd and 3rd ride showed me the real SLC experience. Thanks for the feedback! :D
@@SwissCoasterEnthusiast The themeing does look really good! All the wing coasters I've been on have had fantastic near-miss effects (except maybe Wild Eagle), but it does look like Raptor's is a step above them. My closest SLC is among the worst of the bunch. When Anthony came to ride, it was a cold and wet day and was running slow. Our ride actually wasn't all that bad. So maybe Blue Tornado not being fully warmed up was the reason your first ride ended up good lol.
4:00 wow, that's embarassing. Never seen water that bad at any park, but recently Merlin has been neglecting Gardaland or just doing dumb decisions in regards to it so it's not that unexpected. Agree with you on Raptor, it's not the tallest or fastest but it's just pure, comfortable fun. It would be even better if the water and mist effects were put back in operation, but that's not going to happen.
Good review I thought oblivion the black hole and raptor were great and bule tornado and shaman are my #2 and #1 worst coasters they can go in the dumpster and I would not care at all
