hey everybody, here is my first week and a half in shanghai! i'm working as an au pair for a family, and also am going to be studying mandarin while i'm here. this first week was kind of difficult, because i arrived just before christmas, but take a look at everything i did in my first days here!

Hi I wanna ask when you don’t stay with the kids,it’s possible to visit the city? If the family gives you time and if it’s expensive to go around

Kira 98 I had one day off each week, and also time during the weekdays when the kids were at school to explore the city. The metro is pretty cheap, but restaurants and activities can be expensive depending on where you go.

Lena Schw i’m from the usa so i’m a native speaker, but there were tons of other au pairs there who weren’t!! i had friends from finland, italy, and germany too!!
