Dan, mouse sensitivity tip. Put the sensitivity so that if you move the space that your comfortable with your mouse make it so if u use that area, your character will do a 360

Dan you should get a gaming mouse with two buttons on the side. A good one is Finalmouse Air58 Ninja CBR Edition mouse. It is SUPER light (which is good) and it is wired and has two buttons on the side which is good for building.
Dan there is a setting on fortnite for visualise sound affects so if there are gun shots then it will tell you the direction it's coming from and it works for chests, footsteps, vehicles and gun shots

You do memorise the buttons because I had a keyboard and mouse since a couple months ago and I know where half the keys are cause my binds are on the left side

Dan, I don't know if this will work for you but, you should turn your targeting sense to like 30 or lower for me. It helps for shotguns A LOT for me. But snipers, not so much. What it does is it turns down you sense when your locked on a player.
I am a devoted keyboard and mouse pkayer and i have The F key as my edit and Q as my pickaxe It really helps You dont have to try it but i highly recommend it
