Nice one Gary everyone needs to start somewhere. I’ve been a window cleaner 17 years now, you will get better and quicker with time. Few pointers , don’t put the brush bristle down on a floor or wall and remember rinse rinse rinse , the majority of people that wfp have problems spotting due to not rinsing enough. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your comment. Love seeing videos like this where people are honest. When you say rinse rinse rinse do you mean after the clean rinse them completely? Sorry for the novice question
So you’re going into window cleaning. All I can say is you will not regret it. It’s a great job, you’ll earn good money eventually. You’ll no doubt have to pay for your education like all of us. I’m sure you have already worked out the setup isn’t ideal but you’ll get there. 😂 there us literally a bottomless pit of money to be spent on gear upgrades, but all of it can be done on a budget.👍most don’t even start and you seem very keen so I’m sure you will go far.
I started my whole window cleaning business with a window cleaning backpack and barrels of pure water. Did me for about 18 months but then it slowed me down because I had so many to get through so I ended up with a van mounted system.
I’m a window cleaner great job just mind those vents if you squirt water in them after you’ve cleaned they will leave a dirty mark on the glass where it will run
It's funny - Back in the day (Not SO long ago ;-) all you needed was a push-bike, yer ladder over yer shoulder and a bucket with cloth, sponge and wiper blade in over the handlebars ..... Those were the days EH? :-) ...... Great to see you diversifying and giving yourself EVERY chance of success ..........
Well done Gary great start mate!! Just from experience I would suggest not putting brush head touching the bricks wall or floor as it could pick up some grit and sand which will scratch the glass when you start the next window. Don’t think I’m knocking you mate just wanna help.
Different prices every where gal, good on you mate god loves a trier, I used to be a traditional window cleaner when I lived in Newquay I needed the job very high buildings I forgot to tell the boy I was working for I was scared of heights just got on with it 2mins per window mate easy peasy mate 👍

Exactly the same set up as me Garry lol nothing wrong with your technique mate only thing I’d say is cut down on how much water you use per window, 1 backpack of water does me a standard 4 bed house. Top vid pal
Good vid Gary, I recon your prices are pretty reasonable, we pay £24 every six weeks to have ours done. Personally I'd only use the pole on the top ones, surely quicker and easier just to use a pair of steps and a bucket on the lower ones? 👍
Cheers Tony, Yes, The customer was happy with the price so all good. Been looking at local prices for the future. Actually, the water fed pole was easier on lower windows than the traditional method. It really cleaned them well
Great video Gary keep it up! Just a quick one, if any dirt drips down a rendered wall and isn’t washed off it will dry to the render and be a pain to get out. Make sure you swill all the dirt off 👍 keep it up! Grafter!
Reminds me when we used to do the windows years ago .it's come on a bit since then t.towells dry and wet rags and that's it......oh and some water in a bucket with a squit of fairy (it would help eh!) And the trusty ladders. ..KEEP EM COMIN
My dear friend. I know that you are learning if you gotta go to those premises and take spots off. Windows bits a paint bits, the spots. And you are the cleaner and I could take it 2 hours. You need a charger about 170. For the first clean. Especially if you are taking paint or frames Sales and glass
For the first time using a Wfp u did ok mate. Never put the brush up against the wall etc as it can pick up grit & scratch the next window. I’ve seen some saying avoid getting water in the vents! I’m the opposite, I blast them out on first cleans for about 15-30 seconds depending on how bad they are, when the water runs clear you’re good to go. Makes maintenance cleans after much easier imo.

All i can say is you can never rinse enough but never directly into the vents as run the risk of dirt running down the window from the vent its not so much about the equpiment you have but your technique that really matters for me once im done i like to do a dry wipe across the seals after i have done it with the water running as when the water is running tends to always drag dirt out from the gap on the seals also pink stuff and a cloth works really well on seals and frames
The hard part is getting pure water. Any advice? My dad broke his wrist and im struggling to do top windows, im having to go wfp but i cant get my head around pure water... im using a maxblast unit for some high houses.

Did used to look forward to an upload from you… but I’m finding the more it goes on the more you waffle on and on and it bores the crap out of me… I’ve been an trad window cleaner for 10 years and 1 window would never take 30 mins 😂 and £150-£200 you may as well sell all your window cleaning gear and move on cause you won’t get any work…
I've been window cleaning for 22 years and I now am thinking of changing to the pole system. I'm so apprehensive and keep putting it off. All I know is traditional and my customers prefer it but, I'm getting older etc etc....will it cut time, make more money etc etc?
