If anyone is applying to university I made a personal statement guide which is really helpful for shaping and writing your personal statement. I’d love for you to check it out ❤️ www.etsy.com/listing/1293831237/personal-statement-guide?click_key=01f4534a202d10f38cc04cbd12cbfd507654b56a%3A1293831237&click_sum=d440fa87&ref=shop_home_active_2&crt=1
ماشاءالله تبارك الله اللهم صلى على سيدنا محمّد و على آله سيدنا محمّد I hope you always get the comfortable places and feeling in it and شكرا جزك الله خير for ypur information of Oxford University Cause I want to apply scholarship at Oxford University ❤
I graduated from Oxford last year and wow, this is SUCH a good and accurate video. Thanks for being so honest. It really annoys me how people romanticise the Oxford experience, like no dude it is a STRUGGLE most of the time 😅
I’ll be real I went through more of the struggle part than the pretty Pinterest stuff 😂😭 And congratulations on graduating such an amazing achievement 🥹
Jazakallah Thank you for mentioning the ISOC website. I received my offer for Chemistry two days ago and have constantly been worrying about how strong the Muslim community is at Oxford. Inshallah I will be joining the society in October. Allahuma Barik
😭😭😭😭😭 I really want to go Oxford your the one who inspired me I'm doing my a levels right now and I want to do medicine, and my head of 6th form said something that broke me she was being really passive aggressive and started to question me why I want to Oxford , I was explaining to her how good the Oxford medicine program is and she was so aggressive and said "of course it's going to be good it's Oxford also are you sure u want to go its full of rich people and sometime people go there and dont like it ". But literally she is so limiting and it just drains my energy anyways your vedios r the ones. That keep me going ❤
Aww that’s so sad to hear Don’t let anyone discourage you if it’s meant to be it will happen Snobby ppl are in all universities I personally haven’t struggled with social life here due to snobby rich ppl most students admitted in the U.K. are usually state schooled it’s changed a lot in the last 5 years
This is really interesting! It’s good that you are enjoying Oxford so far. I’m applying to Oxford this year for a joint honours in maths and computer science!
Would you say it is worth it to try really hard to oxford or do you think that, especially in smaller more niche degrees, it would be better off going to another uni where prehaps the imposter syndrome and academic competition is less so that you dont lose the love for your degree? im really scared that in the scenario i did end up going to oxford, id realise its not the place for me and potentially end up dropping out
Hey I think for smaller niche degrees oxford is great it has an abundance of learning resources and you get access to 1:1 learning with world experts Oxford is hard and imposter syndrome happens everywhere not just here don’t doubt yourself and apply it’s 1/5 applications
Hey Nada, congrats on all your achievements for first year!! You’re really inspiring and I’ve learned a lot from your videos! 💖 I wanted to ask… I just sat Arabic GCSE and I want to do it for A-level… I’m predicted grade 8-9 inshallah 🙏🏼 I’m from Sudan but not fluent in the dialect or فصحى so I was wondering wether you think I could do well at A-level? 🤔 جزك الله خيرًا 😊
Some students give the wrong answers/information to other students (even their own friends) so they don't do as well in their assignments. I go to Cardiff university which doesn't even rank us, but some people literally are out to get you. Even if they offered advice on THEIR OWN they be lying.
Revise and consolidate year 12 stuff chill revision and if ur applying for early application get started on reading and drafting your personal statement but also chill and relax bc it’s summer
Good job finishing your collections and enjoy your holiday! I hold an offer for physics at Oxford LMH and (with a bit of luck at results day) I will be joining this big family in October! Will you be helping out at the MPLS Bridging Program this September? I'll be there 😁
Nada , Thank you for your informative videos 🙏🏼. Could you please keep the writing a little bit longer on the screen ? I struggle to read them 😌 .. Wish you all the best 🌿
A-levels are more important than gcses dw I personally don’t think EPQ necessary and Oxford doesn’t care if u do one but try it out if it’s manageable you can get good skills out of it which u can put on a personal statement however it’s not gonna make u more desirable by them Up to u xx
I'm not studying chemistry, but I'm studying biomedicine at Cardiff university and in Cardiff the first year is combined with all of the biosciences so we did biochemistry too. I honestly admire the people that can study chemistry as a full degree, I don't know how y'all do it because biochemistry makes me cry lol.
hello! I was wondering if you did the gold dofe award and whether it helped you get into Oxford. I feel like I'm being pressured to do it for my CV but I know that I won't enjoy it and the 18 month process will be torture for me, so I'm wondering if it's actually worth it to increase my chances at Oxbridge applications :// thanks ❤
do you get like assignments at societies as well? How did you balance your time along with the workload and maintain a great social life + experiences in societies? xx (love your vids Nada)
No u don’t don’t worry the events that societies organise are there for u to take a break and enjoy your free time I am on a committee so I am part of a team that runs a society, societies need people to organise events run social media manage stuff contact guest speakers etc I ran for my role on Isoc voluntarily :) My role has tasks assigned that I do as part of the team It’s definitely manageable I have set work time and in my free time I do my duties and whatever I want dw you will have time to chill in uni having balance is something you get the hang of through experience and practice :)
Assalamu aleykum. I don't have A levels cuz my school doesn't offer any levels or ap classes which means Oxford doesn't accept our grades. What would u recommend? I'd love study at Oxford
hi nada! i loved ur personal statement for chemistry and how u showed ur experiences. i need to write one for medicine and i’m wondering how should i write it? ik there isn’t a specific way but id love some guidance
Most students in Oxford live in in their colleges every Oxford college provides accommodation as part of their facilities Some come with kitchens and en-suites but it depends on college so it would be worth having a look at different colleges in Oxford online and seeing what they offer
@@nada_omarSalaam, i’ve hesrd you can request an ensuite room at the college for certain needs? Do you think they would accept the necessity as muslim woman who covers herself? I’m a bit worried about them not accepting that and then ending up in a shared bathroom area
Hi are you going to Oxford in October If so message me on Instagram I can personally advise u If ur in the application process also message me i don’t mind I’m happy to guide you on which colleges to apply for 😭 Oxford Colleges are very happy to accommodate for your needs and religious requirements is very valid a lot of my Muslim friends got en-suites on religious grounds This can depend on the college but if ur coming to Oxford in October email ur college now and let them know that your concerned
Hi, I just wanted to ask why you chose Oxford over Cambridge and if you ever wish you went to Cambridge instead. Also do they offer financial support in Cambridge?
Hi I chose Oxford mainly because I wanted to do chemistry and Cambridge only offers natural sciences which isn’t for me personally Now that I’m in university I’ve also visited Cambridge idk I prefer the Oxford city more Yes Cambridge would definitely have financial support also with Cambridge be smart with your college choice if u apply The info on the university’s financial support will be on their website
thank you for this! i'm sorry if this question is not very appropriate, but as a hijabi student starting oxford this fall im curious about how you manage the bathroom situation? as far as i know bathrooms and showers in colleges are unisex and in stalls, so does that create a challenge for you?
Hey shared bathrooms are generally unisex but I asked to share only with girls they gave me that Colleges do have some en-suites this depends on the college what college r u going to x
If your concerned about colleges email ur college now and let them know you have concerns about privacy etc u have the right to be accommodated for on religious grounds, InshaAllah they should be receptive of it feel free to message me on Instagram if u want
Also they’re not always in stalls mine was a whole bathroom it really depends on the college mine was a bathroom I shared with 2 girls so it was mostly fine
Hey I'm from india nd here we have 2 years of masters and 3-5 yrs of phD please say if its same there? Or there's something else also please say if i wanted to do my masters in chemistry from Oxford how could i apply there ..any exams , or recommendations etc?
Here’s a document that talks about the degree and there’s a potential careers section static1.squarespace.com/static/5f1785d503fde41d65255b49/t/649c4c1e616bcf0a09109f06/1687964703435/Chemistry.pdf
