Hi Ben Good move going with the citroen relay. I know as I'm just starting my third citroen relay build. I'm happy to offer any advice you may need. First thing that you most do is check front window rain channel not leaking on the engine. Easy check put some cardboard upper engine bonnet, when raining. Go luck Patrick

Hi Ben, be careful on the weight front, although it’s a twin wheel that actually reduces the payload of the van. If it’s a 3.5 tonne van it’ll be circa 1200-1300 kg carrying capacity depending what wheelbase it is. A 3520L is classed a MWB, 4100 is LWB and a 4100L is XLWB. Good luck with the build, great base for a camper!

One thing I found in our van build. We have max air fan at the front. And a roof light at the bottom over the bed. It’s amazing at air flow in the van when sleeping. Fan on low and roof light open is amazing how it can cool the van also. Hubby hates it. Says he is freezing lol. Only mentioning it because I was so surprised at how effective it is. I can feel claustrophobic, and it counteracts that also.

Just a tip, if the camera isnt already, put it horizontally to get more in the frame :) Just bought myself a Peugeot Boxer L4(the longest version) a few days ago and will be starting my own build for full time living and soon as the temperature and snow improves a bit :) Keep it up!

Welcome to the van life family. Only comment at this early stage is a beware a probable regret on overuse of dodo mat when you have your final weigh-in! Floor looks solid though. Oh. Record landscape with your phone although suspect you have already sussed that. 😊

Great van to convert fantastic chassis. Won’t rot in a hurry, great payload and one of the biggest vans available. There is no substitute for space. Looking forward to seeing you going forward. Ben I have exactly the same van but in a motorhome

Hi Ben, The Iveco Daily is a great van to convert, the king of vans in my opinion, looking forward to seeing your progress. I have a 2015 LWB 70C Auto, built that out last year, planning a trip to Spain in it now.

Definitely a long wheelbase. I have the same van earlier model. Built it out myself and yeah it might not be perfect but such a sense of accomplishment. Look forward to more of the build.

Good luck with your build, I’m also converting a 2021 daily, a year into it and around 90% complete. Have probably over engineered it, and have definitely over spent!… but have very much enjoyed the process (mostly). Having knowledgeable friends will help you I’m sure. Plan to spend about 60% of your time building and the remainder scratching your head figuring out how on earth you’ll make it fit/work. Do you have your layout pinned down yet?

Go Ben! I’m about where you are on my first van build and hoping to start a channel eventually. Currently everything has ground to a halt due to a long awaited ankle op so, 3 months in plaster with plenty of time on my hands 😏. Looking forward to your next instalment!

Im 858 love finding small growing channels... But will hoping to do the same as yourself
