My first draft is Vicario - good starting keeper Turner - Why not Porro - most shots by a def last season Konsa - always starts for villa Andersen - Palace 4th best defence last year and is goal threat Castagne - rotates well with Konsa and Andersen Faes - 4.0 mil, self explanatory Saka - On pens (probs), gets bonus points etc Foden - Haaland cover Palmer - the guy Gibbs White - Forest have good fixtures and is on pens Nkunku - Cheap and value Watkins - I love him as a player Isak - Nice Newcastle fixtures and is on pens Mateta - My team name is Hakuna Mateta so can’t go without him
All talking abt how Nkunku is 4 mill cheaper than palmer and that’s good yet we barely seen Nkunku play. But then u look at Watkins being 6 entire millions cheaper than haaland and being that level of consistency of scoring throughout the whole season yet haaland is still so popular. Imo it’s a no brainer to go for Watkins over haaland and just use the 6 mill to massively boost the rest of ur squad
Nkunku is a steal to cover chelsea attack if you can't fit palmer. Watkins doesn't cover City as a captain option over Haaland, so it's not the same scenario. Yes all 4 of them are good options.
Good to have you back Harry. I must say I'm very surprised by this team. You're talking about you are only confident with capping Haaland most games, but I feel the opposite that last season showed us that you can do just fine without him. Sure, Watkins played more minutes, but staying fit is also something I weigh in when I consider players. Watkins for me is a buy & hold for the season potential. Isak great for his price. Pedro a gem. I'm also very curious about Gakpo in Liverpool. I think he can have a massive role under Slot.
Great to have you back Harry, and the video looks great! Loving the first draft, just twitching about no Arsenal 😂 I agree the Liverpool opening fixture is mouth watering though,makes it hard to look at an Arsenal defender or Saka I guess. Haaland is a must for me.
@@FPLHarry Have just looked in more detail at the fixtures: thinking avoiding Arsenal to start with but then a possible switch to Arsenal assets around GW6 or 7, depending on how players are performing of course.

These are the main points I have building my team for this upcoming season based on the most important takeaways from 23/24. 1. Clean sheets are hard to come by and so balling out on the defence isn't a smart idea, maybe one or two semi-premium assets is the max I would go. 2. Haaland despite getting 27 goals last year is faltering a bit in peps system. Watching him closely last year I could see that the system does not suit him that well. City players became increasingly reluctant to play the ball in behind either over the top or low and hard through the lines, which is where he thrives, leading me to believe that he is not needed for the 15 million price tag. 2.a. Haaland will drop in price extremely quickly, I think the price tag makes people somewhat sceptical to begin with and if he doesn't hit the ground running he will be offloaded immediately. 3. Palmer is top 5 players in the premier league, I can't not have him when he is the only mid alongside Salah that could explode for 4+ goals in a game making him a rank killer.
@@vl6619 yeah because De bruyne creates great counter attacking opportunities for him and combined with his elite finishing (most of the time) equals goals. However, city play a possession style and haalanf thrives in a more counter attacking team. On top of this teams play low blocks which lessons the counter attacks and causes him to make less runs in behind, where he thrives the most.

First 5 he has only 2 home games and one is vs spurs. He is well rested though. Nkunku. Lol, every season people always fall for a Chelsea trap. Chelsea is a one man team.

Even if I support LFC, I’m a bit less i favour of TAA because of the changed BPS. «We» barely keep a CS these days… What’s your thinking with TAA? He does tie up funds.
My first draft is with Salah, Son, Palmer, Watkins, Porro, Gordon, Pickford, Isak, Muniz. Skipping Haaland, but trying to figure out how to get Gvardiol on my team. I was hoping to have Olise on my team, but I guess CP needed the transfer fees? Not sure you could find anyone better than him, plus I thought Eze and Olise played really well together.
Can I ask you a question ? When defender concede 1 goal and -4 BPS, is it better for defender when compare to last season which decrease BPS from clean sheat to concede a goal so much ?

Nkunku was a costly mistake last season, and now i am not going to have him anywhere near my fpl team. I am going for palmer and watkins over nkunku and haaland
Having TAA, Salah and Haaland just drains the rest of the team in each position. I think build a team without the premiums this year and if any of them start to smash it, downgrade others and get them.
