Wow!! Even your eyelids are more lifted, which you didn't mention. Amazing how well it worked around the eyes!! Your skin is looking so beautiful!!! That's why I watch you, because you look younger at 53 than you did at 50. Just amazing!! xoxo

Thank you for being so consistent, your lighting and angles are so much better than most dermatologists have in their before and after. And thank you for being so diligent with 3 and 6 months. You Rock!

Angie took her journey to the more youthful skin and slowing down signs of aging seriously and she is very consistent. If we only knew how to protect the skin from the sun, our life would be much different and easier. It appears that faster and more obvious results can be expected only with more aggressive treatment with the help of Retin A and other skin identical ingredients. If it wasn't for Angie, I wouldn't be so persistent and I can say that standing in front of the mirror became more motivating than irritating :) Thanks Angie!

Well said! I wish I had known to protect my skin "back in the day" so I wouldn't have all this sun damage to get rid of now (sunscreen's a lot cheaper than lasering)!!

Worth it! I appreciate how analytical you are about all things beauty; willing to take serious action, but also weighing the cost and the relative merits of different purchases whether it's makeup or the dermatologist.

Probably the best review about fraxel laser I've seen so far, specially because of the before and after high quality photos, most reviews take the photos in different angles and lightning which makes it hard to compare. Maybe you could try coming to Mexico, here is the exact same machine since it is a franchise and the prices are around 300-500 dlls each session.

Angie, I did Broad band laser and I didn't have downtime. It took care of sunspots, age spots, melasma and sun damage. Could not be more thrilled. Cost only about $500 a treatment. Might be worth it as a toe-in-the-pool approach for other people. Thanks so much for these videos! They are incredibly helpful!

Angie, I can definitely see a major difference. I love all skin treatments, so this was incredible. All aged spots gone, crows feet gone, and texture is that of a baby's butt. Pores diminished . Overall a miracle. Just stunning! We girls love our skincare treatments. You go girl! Fabulous! xoxo Sharon

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. Not many people would put themselves out there without makeup for the world to see , in order to share information with others. I met you at the Natick Mall meet-up and you are just as personable, friendly and "real" in person as you are in your videos. I consider what you do to be somewhat of a public service. You spend your own time and money and even risk your own health to review products and treatments that many of us would love to try but don't have the resources or nerve to do so. I have been considering having a laser treatment done for awhile now. After viewing this latest installment of "Hot&Flashy"and seeing your results, I am all in. I really enjoy your RU-vid episodes and always look forward to the next one. You are a lovely lady, inside and out, and I hope you continue making your very informative and entertaining videos for a long time. Thanks again, Angie.

I’ve been watching your fraxel videos constantly after just having a Lasemd treatment with micro-needling (for chin only acne scaring). I’m having mine done with my long time dermatologist that I trust and have done a fair amount of research. Your videos have been the most helpful for me on this journey, they are so informative. I’m going in for 3 treatments spaced out monthly ($900 per treatment) with about the same amount of downtime at 3-4 days. I wish you had gone in for a second treatment so I benefit for your experience on that too - thank you for telling us that you would do it again and you like the results. I definitely see the difference and mostly at the six month mark. Thanks again for these very interesting videos.

Angie, Thank you for sharing all your experiences, photos and thoughts as you navigate the anti-aging jungle! I have had consultations for a brow lift and an upper eye-lid lift. My surgeon suggested I may want to explore lasers first as many women get the results they are looking for with lasers. After doing some of my own research and following your journey I am definitely going to go the laser route. Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into all your videos, you have made my journey to my 60's so much more rewarding! xo

Looks pretty good. I can see overall clarity. It is very expensive. Angie, you should think of doing laser for those little broken capillaries around the check and nose area. I had it done around my nose years ago and it wasn't very expensive and it cleared up all the redness caused by those pesky vines. This is not meant to be a criticism at all. It just seems that you're a woman who like to take care of herself and is not afraid of going to those lengths for a little help. You're looking great, better than when I first started watching you so you're absolutely doing something right! You got me on the Retin A train and I haven't looked back since...Even though it still makes me really dry at times, which drives me nuts...we do what we gotta do! Thanks for the vid.

nice progressions in these pics... wanted to let you know that I completely wiped out a very large age spot on my hand with 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide... I've actually gotten rid of a few things on my face and body with this. I dab it on with a Q-tip. It stings for a few minutes and if you use it subsequent applications, you can actually see it sizzle a bit (sounds gross I know) but this really works effectively and quickly to zap anything on the skin. My husband had a huge (size of a quarter) mole-ish discoloration on his face at the hairline, dabbed the HP on it every day for a month and it completely disappeared. Just wanted to let you know as I think this is the fastest and cheapest way to get read of skin issues....

So awesome to read this post…because there's so much misinformation about the sun and damage to the skin and the medical doctors want to suck you dry with their expensive laser treatments and toxic skin products. The sun is a our power source of healing and health. It is NOT an enemy to our skin or anything else. What you are being shown in this video is something that you need to treat internally to address an internal issue-fungus. when uv rays are high simply wear your own sunscreen made with coconut oil and zinc oxide. any skin discoloration is from fungus that needs to be treated internally but for temporary relief your remedy of hydrogen peroxide is excellent. many beautiful people around the world sunbathe and their skin is gorgeous, tan and clear because they don't have fungus internally. The medical doctors are not going to tell you this because they want to make money.

I've used Dr. Scholl's Corn and Callus Remover dabbed precisely on age spots on my hands. I've also used 'wart freezer' solutions from CVS. Both things burn off the skin growth and it will peel off eventually. I was paying $300 to have dermatologist freeze off raised skin growths so figured I could do it myself for less money.

I'm a little discouraged after watching this video because I thought Retin-A was your skin saver, the product that was hands-down, the miracle product. But now you show that after 3-4 years of using RetinA, you weren't totally satisfied with the results, and had to go for something even more expensive. I just started using Retin A a week ago, and now wonder why I should even bother. Your skin looks great, by the way.
@wnnabnrml
@wnnabnrml 7 лет назад
bella watkins of all the things to stop. Do not stop the ret A. Always use it. Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid are the key skin care. If you cannot use afford anything but retinal A you will be years ahead. The fraxel makes a difference for smoothness and fine lines. However it is more about collagen reforming under the skin. Side effect is lifting.
@MessiahMews
@MessiahMews 7 лет назад
I use internally, the Vitamin C as in sodium ascorbate. I also take collagen boosting bone broth, and take colloidal minerals, especially the colloidal copper. I like using a topical colloidal copper lotion by Health Wyze for skin tightening. Taking essential amino acids is also beneficial to the skin. I prefer the Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP), as they are a clean supplement with no added fillers, excipients or any of that nasty cellulose crap.

Angie, thank you for sharing. I see a big difference around your eyes and on your upper forehead. I was a sun goddess in my youth too and I'm paying the price now. I've been following you since I embarked on this anti-aging journey. I've been wanting to try Fraxel but l'm hesitant. I don't have dark spots so much, but I have acne scars and sagging at the jawline. If anyone of Agnie's subscribers have ever tried anything for acne scarring, I would love to know what it is. I didn't notice it so much when I was young, but as I've aged and have lost volume in my face, they have become more prominent. Thank you all! This is a great channel!

Angie, just curious...how do you know the improvement is from the Fraxel Laser Treatment and not continuing improvement from using Retin A? (particularly the crowsfeet...amazing improvement there!). You have had such great results from the Retin A, do you ever wonder which products are doing what? You look amazing in red btw...=)
@AngieHotandFlashy
@AngieHotandFlashy 8 лет назад
I can't know for sure which the improvement's from, but it makes sense to me that I hadn't seen sudden results like this after 3 years of Retin-A use so it's more likely the laser treatment. I find with topicals the results are more modest and gradual over time while in-office treatments work much faster & are more effective.

I think you got a lot of bang for your buck with just this single treatment! I also agree that you do a fabulous job of taking photos to capture the changes. It is possible that your eyes are looking at a higher angle initially but I see an improvement in your hooded eyes at 3 & 6 mos, which you don't mention. You did say that she took a small pass with the laser just below your eyebrows - if you go back to compare, do you see any improvement there? Also, I have read that the hyaluronic acid fillers actually do lead to skin remodeling (increases in collagen fibers and epidermal layer) so it is possible that the fillers which you tested out did lead to some lasting improvement in the area even after they were reabsorbed from the injection sites. Thanks for sharing this and have a great birthday!
@AngieHotandFlashy
@AngieHotandFlashy 8 лет назад
Hi Karen~ I do see an improvement in my eyelids since I got he laser, but I don't mention it in the video because as you mentioned, where I'm looking has an effect on how they look in the pictures. On the HA fillers, I think that while they do help the skin to produce more collagen, it's not to the degree that it would eliminate the need (desire) for more fillers. Thanks for the bday wishes!! xo ~angie

The hood on your eye is tighter, you definitely look younger. What a big difference!!! You really look great. I am wondering, are you going back to get the laser treatment you desired? Or are you going to get the same as before? I have to look into this in my area. I love the results on your treatment.

Could you do a video on your teeth? They are a perfect, natural white and look great. I'd love to know if youve done anything, at home or professionally.

I think she said in one of her latest videos that she had veneers done on her front 6 teeth.

Have you considered other lasers like Pico? I have tried this with a good result but your Fraxel looked like it worked better. Pico is new and targets sun spots and collegen production

That was great thx Angie! Since watching you this year I have learned many things relevant to aging & prevention / skin care & ingredients to watch for etc. I enjoy how informative your vids have been tfs! I would love to do this someday but will have to settle for splurging on good skin care. But the results from this & botox sure do sound intriguing for my newly turned 47yr old skin. Would love to get rid of the crows feet & squinty skin showing between my brows lol. Question: if it is warmer in my room would putting my skin care in the fridge be better to keep things fresher longer? I have acquired some great treatments & creams this year but with this heat wave and it not being as cool where my toiletries cabinet is I wondered if that could negatively affect my high grade skin care... Tia & have a nice weekend! :))

I think keeping your skincare in the fridge can keep them fresher longer especially in hot weather.

+HotandFlashy ok great thx...I was hoping it may help. Right now we just have a/c on the main floor but hoping by next summer we have central air throughout. Since receiving some "warm" orders of skin care this week via the postal service it got me thinking about whether the heat was affecting the creams etc while shipping so I thought of the fridge idea. I shall try it until our heat wave goes away :)) Thanks again for the feedback!

It looks like there is a nice improvement in the hooded eye area too. The results are impressive. Are you going to do this again?

I'm still debating, but I'm leaning toward getting it again. Especially since she only used one of the wavelengths.

+HotandFlashy Good morning Angie. I don't know if you have told us why you chose this procedure over having the CO2 laser done. You might have and I have forgot. I went to my plastic surgeon yesterday for a top off of dysport and we had a talk about having the CO2 done. I hope you can give me your opinion on why you didn't chose that laser. My dr does it for 500 more than what you paid for this one. The reason it's more, he actually puts you to sleep for the procedure. Would really love to hear back when you get time. Thanks for the update, and there is a difference at your six month mark. Also, big difference in the hood of your eyes. I can see much more of your eyelid in the six month picture. Love and blessings, xoxo

You look great. Did you have fillers when 1927 fraxel was performed? I got myself in huge trouble: was using retin-a and had microneedling with the use if restylane boosters. I obviously didn't wait long enough, which caused plenty of tiny holes appear on my skin. Their somewhere between 8 and 5 months old, and I'm wondering whether laser treatment could help to shed the layer of epidermis safely. The problem is that I read fillers get melted under the influence of lasers. Im consulting a doctor in a few weeks but hearing a real testimony would be very helpful. Heartfelt thanks for your response.

Great video! Thank you! I had a few age spots, nothing horrible, and I used the Obaji (anti aging) 90 day system for that. I think it worked pretty well. It pretty much got rid of the 3 age spots that were bothering me. If it didn't work, I was going to investigate that.
