@@Betsalie Exactly. I always combine my kit with drugstore and highends and even though i know that their skin suits with loreal infallible more than charlote tilbury, they will insist on charlotte tilbury. Since then I depot all of my liquid and cream products 🤣🤣 lol

I love the lip kit goodie bag idea! Not sure if you do this or not, but you should get sticker labels to write down the name of the color so that neither one of you have to guess & the client can purchase it if they want to !

Super late to the party here 😂😂 Thanks for the video tho, very informative .. there’s a few products I’m gonna be looking up! Just wanted to point out 99% alcohol is actually not sanitary , it evaporates too fast to really sanitize , 70% is best to use because it’s high enough to sanitize but not too high that it just evaporats right away !

This kit is so overwhelming but so clean I feel like this is a good fresh air out of a lot of makeup artist kit I have seen. You surely find a way to utilize your kit and taking care of them really well. Idk if you already change and update your kit, but you can try 70% alcohol for general sanitizing and 99% alcohol for everytine you clean your brushes with soap/brush cleaner. 99% alcohol dries up faster thus did not give enough time for the bacterias to died out. Thank you for the video! 😄

I like your idea of giving clients some lip color to-go. I always tell them ahead of time to bring a lip color with them for touching up but some clients don't even wear makeup on a normal basis, so that's a good idea!

New subscriber! I was on another persons makeup routine and this came up and I was kinda mesmerised by how much makeup you had! I dread to think how much that cost! But I dread to think how much that cost you, I hope you got plenty of deals lol. I like the idea of the pot of the type/colour lipstick you used. I love thus video i carry the maybeline matte and poreless foundation but i kept wishing that i had gotten the Revlon color stay instead. Can u recommend a setting spray to avoid foundation transfers? Cute dog btw and the rung light link i used it, said ring light was not in stock but it was helpful

When you bring your kit, chair and table....do you have to make a couple of trips out to your car? Its an issue I have too! I am trying to figure out a way to carry all of it at least to the door (especially hotels for weddings)...so I came up with a luggage rack on wheels. You can use bungie cords to hold it all together.

As a MUA myself I love the cinema secrets brush cleanser too but my daughters won't let me clean their brushes with it. They say it smells lol. I told them they would have to buy what they wanted lol. They use the beauty blender solid. I can't carry they larger train cases so I use a zuca case and backpack.

ISpeak Glam very good question actually as this gets asked alot. The most sanitary way to apply eyeliner on people is to use a gel liner and a brush as using a liquid liner with the same applicator on all of your clients is not sanitary and for the tightline/waterline you can use a pencil but be sure to pear the pencil before and after use 💞

Does the revlon colorstay have flashback? because of the spf it has in it, I'm curious because I'm a freelance Makeup artist as well and I know the formula con the colorstay is amazing but I don't use it on my clients because I'm afraid it could have flashback, please I want to know ☺

I use it and haven’t had an issue with flashback but just make sure your moisturiser/primer/powder don’t have spf in them as well because then you might get it

Hi Abby! I keep all of my personal makeup separate from my kit for sanitary reasons! The only things that I might use on myself is eyeshadow palettes occasional but I even have some of those that are duplicates that I keep in my own personal makeup collection. Mascara is a BIG no no, you always was to use disposables on anything that will be touching your client, also no double dipping. I never touch lip products directly to my clients lips either, I always dip it out first! Hope this helps!

what a great idea to give your clients the lip color they are wearing in a jar how cool! I just saw on a different video that your suppose to use 70% Alcohol to Santatize makeup because the 99.9% evaporates to quick to Santatize the makeup hmm now it makes me wonder which one to use lol because sometimes I see the 70% and other times I see 99% Thanks for a awesome video girlie very helpful

Lustrous Beauty I would start by buying every other or every 3rd shade so you can mix a lighter and darker shade together to get the client's shade that they need.

I noticed the Colorstay has different formulas for dry skin and combo oily, do you have one formula or a mixture of both? Thanks so much for your help, as a MUA just starting out there doesn't seem to be many resources telling what you need for base makeup. Lustrous Beauty you should check out the bh cosmetics liquid foundation, has a pump, and it's full coverage. Great product and you can get them on sale for $3 a peice so all 10 shades for $30. Good for beginners.

I really want to become a makeup artist and I always will have, it’s not a 1 time thing and it’s really a passion, I have been called very good at eyebrows and eyeliner ect, however, my parents and family do not approve they believe that I’ll not be paid enough and they want me to become a doctor like all parents do, I’m 12 btw, now I have no idea what to do! Claire Rye when you are older you can do makeup. Kits are very expensive and unfortunately no one will take a twelve year old seriously. Travel is also important because most require a car

Claire Rye hi Claire. I know this is late but it's best to start whenever you can. I'm 14 and I started doing makeup on girls in my year just a few months ago and soon I will be doing prom makeup (it's called debs here in Ireland) on a few girls. It is never too early to start look up Nya Breslin and listen to her story she's our age and is a celebrity mua. I purchase makeup from drugstore brands and I get 6 foundation shades (including the lightest and darkest) and I mix them to get everyone's shade. Makeup kits are definitely something you want to invest in so I suggest saving up now and practicing as much as you can. Hope this helped 😊
