Actually, no. Mine has traction but is smooth. It wears in really well. You could polish it lightly Flitz or buffing pad on a Dremel.

Does the edge of the blade hit the inside of the back spacer when you swing it shut? If not, how close is it?

Never and I’ve owned 8 AD20.5’s. It has room. It’s not close like a Shirogorov that gets within 0.5 mm. From what I can see, maybe 3mm or more based on the blade.

I have aluminum scales and a backspacer from a different company and there is damage at the end of the tip of the “shark foot” blade and inside of the backspacer. This does not happen with the clip point in the same scales/backspacer. Have you ever noticed anything like this?
