I have watched probably more than 20 people react to this battle, *NEVER* have I seen anyone sit Completely straight faced through the Heath Ledger bar
I wouldn’t say murdered because joker had some really good bars aswell. To sum this video up these guys don’t understand most of the joke references here
That is one amazing video ever Joker vs Pennywise rap battle it is epic you the best king Crane and Cory plays hope you guys do a reaction video with Jenerize on reacting to the evolution of Pennywise
In the end you thought Pennywise was making up words......The Cask of Amontillado is a short story by Edgar Allen Poe. Where a the antagonist Montresor is planning on murdering his one time friend Fortunato. He lures him down in the catacombs beneath the city in promise of tasting good wine.....he instead entombs him in a room by closing the room up with a brick wall and leaves him to die. Pennywise was saying he was going to seal this battle up like The Cask of Amontillado that he was Montresor and The Joker was Fortunato.
That's debatable. I've seen many reactions to the particular episode. Those who grasped everything called it a draw or awarded it to the Joker. I guess it's personal preference. Pennywise may have wony but not by a wide margin. That was not a massacre like Oppenheimer vs. Thanos. Poor Thanos got his Chin checked.
You guys missed 90% of the bars from both of them I was for joker at first but penny got some bars that made him win but I wouldn’t say he won by a landslide or anything but you guys just didn’t understand like most of the bars at all.
The Cask of Amantillado is an Edgar Allen Poe story, where Montressor sealed up his friend, (Fortunado, who was dressed as a clown), in a wine cellar to die. John Wayne was a Western movie icon, (who usually played the hero). John Wayne Gacy was a 1970's serial killer, who played "Pogo the Clown" at children's birthday parties. In some photos, he's shown holding a bunch of balloons. Gacy also owned a construction business, and would hire teen boys to work for him. He would then sexually assault and murder them. After he was arrested, the police found 33 bodies on his property, mostly buried in the crawl space under his house. (Google "the killer clown," and most results will be about Gacy). He was caught in 1978, the same year that Stephen King started writing "IT." I have wondered if Gacy was, at least in part, the inspiration for Pennywise. King could have made him any kind of demon, but made him a killer clown, soon after one had been arrested.
You both miss the Heath ledger line as well oh my God you've missed two of his best bars :-( That Heath ledger bar was the hardest in the entire battle
Don't get too bent out of shape, friends. I'm willing to bet they did this video because it was requested so the fact that they miss 90% of the references/bars is understandable since they have probably never read a Stephen King book or Batman comic in their lives.
technically pennywise didn't actually lose to them, in the lore that's him abiding by a story that Stephen king wrote, if it was real he probably wouldn't have lost. Also joker always get slapped silly by justice league.
Personally, I'd call it a tie. The Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie won academy awards. I think that Joker might have been referring to Stephen King movies in general. They have improved, over the years, but in the 70's they got lost in translation. The movies were never as good as the books.
When they said "Youre a sewer troll that Stephan king wrote between his lines" Joker invokes the “read between the lines,” idiom to remind listeners that King wrote IT during his nearly decade-long bout with cocaine, which is commonly consumed in “lines”. Pennywise also famously first appears speaking to his prey from a storm drain, and lives in the sewer.
Pennywise took it, for real. John Doe in my deadlights…awesome. Fall from a new height…awesome. Useless joker in poker…fierce. Leto reference….savage. Heath ledger….completely ruthless. The quick “raps” at the beginning we’re paying homage to him saying “pop” to Georgie when talking about popcorn. Pennywise was going nuts, and y’all missed it because you simply don’t know the source material and too focused on production.
bro the guy on the left still has to mature. I basically had no clue what any of the bars meant as a kid and now I see him reenacting the same behavior as I did.
