I'm gonna break it down to you bro, Keqing is not just a politician. She's literally another PRESIDENT like Ningguang. Being that there are 7 presidents in Liyue (the Qixing) all in charge and having control over their respective area of work. And the Qixing DON'T have a head leader. Meaning that they all have an equal rank and authority. Which is why none of them gives orders to another. They all have their own subordinates/assistants who help them with their smallest tasks so that they focus and handle the real big matters at hand. So what i mean to say by all this is that Keqing is also another "president" in Liyue, such as Ningguang.

Basically this witch named Alice brought her a magazine from another world that featured idol singers and told her to basically become that. It's implied that the "other world" is actually real life Japan, so everything Barbara knows about idols is either what Alice told her, or what she was able to gather from an idol magazine. The fact that your friend thought "saint" when told she was an idol is really funny, since Barbara initially refused specifically because "idol" in her mind was supposed to be reserved for individuals of reverence like their god and she was not comfortable using the same word to apply to herself until Alice convinced her to go through with it.

I will never understand how can anyone call Qiqi "bad"?! Haven't you ever tried her before? Qiqi's healing is BY FAR the highest in the game with 100% uptime, her healing scaling is WAY higher then any other character in the game (Yes, even Kokomi), and her dmg isn't bad at all, her burst has high multipliers and clam set exist. Yes, she isn't the best for the abyss because she doesn't provide any buffs, but you can't tell me Diluc is good for the abyss when Xiangling(a free character) exist. She wasn't good when the game got released because at that time Diluc and Keqing were top tier dps and clam set didn't exist, but now? she's just a "normal" character like most characters in the game, people are just stuck with the old overused memes.
