@@miffytube The soreseal is a talisman that reduces your damage negation by a percentage. Basically, it kills your defense. If this were an instance where he was in a low level or early game area, this wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem, because the stat boost makes up for that percentage lost, but when you have a fully fleshed out build, those twenty stats have massive diminishing returns. And in late game, any reduction in damage negation is a very bad idea, unless you're deliberately trying to make your character die faster

Soreseal is only really good early game when you are far from any softcap ​@@miffytube

Same here, i changed my build to faith build, and just lightning and dragon flame even if i was going to be hit with next combo

That was how I got him too! Had him rotting in those last few moments while I hacked away at him to speed things up, and he died right about when I died to one of his attacks - but I got the Remembrance just before the death message came on screen, so it counted. Biggest sigh of relief I’ve ever had for any video game.

Reading these comments made me lose faith in humanity

I'm surprised that there were SOME attacks that didn't one-shot him from full HP, despite the low Vigor level.

40 vig is e ough with good defenses, would not recommend for most though xD

​@@smmk88I beat the base game with 40 vigor and never felt like it was too little. I've also been doing fine in the DLC, thanks to scadutree blessings, although I have been using more defense talismans and buffs.

Being a high level mage, my priorities are not focused on Vigor, I got it to the bare minimum (60) and got my mind to 99.. truth be told I sometimes wish I got my Vigor higher

@@Ichengo42 ... I never realized it was standard to go higher than 60? I've only recently gone to 80 for a character with heavy armor and greatshield, lol.

@@tylermech66 It's not, most people only put 20 to 40 into Vigor.. but to my standard is 60, because too many things in this game do too much damage

@@tylermech66 I wouldn't call it a standard but 60 seems like the minimum if you don't want to get killed super easily especially with the dlc. I have 60 too on my build and it wouldn't hurt to even have a little more sometimes lol

Its worse that Lion Claw.

If you hit both thr swings of the new version, it does noticably more damage. But it comes out slower than OG Lions Claw and only has like a third the poise damage.

​@@michapiasta3072I used both a bunch they have different uses. The new one is more versatile than the old one but the old one is easier to get off against bosses. The new one is better if you plan on trading blows with bosses though. I only used the old one against radahn because he would break through my poise. Basically new ash of war= more damage less poise old ash of war= less damage more poise.
