Story 2- Op should have IMMEDIATELY called the police so they could come and make a report and get the "in the moment" statements from the construction workers, especially the one who thought the husband was driving off when Op was hanging out of the car. When Op goes to therapy she will realize that he has been abusive all along and has done other things that she has rug-swept. Her self-esteem is sh*t, worn down by being with him for so long. It is colossally stupid to ever get in the car to go anywhere unless you are dressed enough to be out in public. It is just that one time when you say, "oh, I'm just going around the corner" that you will get a flat tire or get into an accident.
Never assume anything. Op should have used his words to say, "am I invited to your wedding?" an entire YEAR before when he didn't get a save the date. If they didn't invite you, make them SAY IT TO YOUR FACE, or text or whatever. What a victim.
OP-Time to find new friends, unfortunately, it happens. That happened to me with people I've been friends with over twenty years, all due to one person getting angry because I invited her to a bbq one of my kids was giving. I got sick and went home before she and got there. Everybody else understood, she took it personally and made sure I started being excluded and is now dating my ex BF. The hell with them. People are flaky at best.😂
Hell na. As someone who experienced a similar issue they did him dirty and dude needs to accept that they aren’t really that good of friends. Tracy sounds like the realest one and the fact that he tried to go out of his way to keep the peace knowing damn well they excluded him is crazy. He should lay it on thick, honest and true as raw as he can. the friendships sound like they’re on their way to fizzle out and end soon anyway. Burn that mf bridge to the ground by saying your side of the story hitting them with the truth. Dude is better off without that group and if the other friends didn’t even respond to the birthday invites that’s crazy and a sign that things definitely are being said behind closed doors and that’s ok. They’re doing you a favor but exposing themselves. Cuz taking a group photo captioning it the “crew” is only throwing gasoline on the fire. They only sent the invite last minute because someone brought it to their attention that they excluded homie and they sent the last minute invite to save their own face and not seem like a bad guy. Fuck them. Yall hold onto friends that would watch you drown.
Tracy is an OG. OP needs to make a post exposing his former friends, not inviting him to their wedding with hashtag two-face explaining his side of the story. Not to chose sides, but put to illustrate a point that they didn't have the guts to explain why they didn't and last minute asked to know of OP can make it while they tried to save face with the rest of the group. Sounds like shannon felt guilt, at least, but Greg is a POS who needs to not talk behind his back and just say it to his face like a man, not as a coward hiding behind others to give excuses. Hope the group calls them out on that and reassure OP that they still get his back and don't care for Greg and Shannon for their selfish actions.
That is too much time giving them free rent in his head. A simple post saying something like, "when 'friend' tries to cover up not inviting me to their wedding by texting me 'why didn't you RSVP?' Newsflash- you can't RSVP if you were never invited."
