The problem for beginners is not the settings overload, but that the video mode does not show the color saturation and changes on ISO upfront before the video has been made. The Canon EOS 90D shows the changes directly on display and you can change the settings directly without entering a menu. You are faster optimizing the video to your likes. mhm. I am not sure which ones I should get as the image stabilizer during night shots and doing them without a stative is remarkable on the XS -10.
Oh yo boss you been heaps of help thank you very much! Also, i think the red record button records with the settings you've set up for your Video shoot mode no matter what shoot mode your in, so even if you got that mode dial set to C3 or M and press that red button you'll be filming in the Video profile. its pretty much just a short cut i guess
Thanks. Can the custom modes be used to store video settings; for example, one custom mode for 4K 24p, and another custom mode for 1080 120p? If not, when you switch to video, does it go back to the same video settings you use? I mean, if it’s a true hybrid, then it should allow you to switch quickly from photo to video and back again, without having to change settings.
You know that’s one thing I didn’t test out! I used it for my photo features just so it’s quick to switch but I didn’t even consider it for video but I can’t see y it wouldn’t work for video too considering the record button will let u record in those modes 👌🏼
Hi there, great vid dude. Can I ask you a favor. Please tell us if this camera has peaking and histogram in video mode, even after hitting the REC button, the xt200 and xa7 unfortunately does not have this pretty important feature in video mode during recording. Thank you!

Hy there, I'm using the x-s10 too. Do you know how to set the minimum and maximum on auto ISO setting? Because that setting is only available on still mode.
Very interesting and in-hand (litterally) review. About Focus peaking, do you know if it says on, WHILE filming video? In my X-T10, I can focus peak, but, as soon as I hit the Rec button, it disappears. Quite annoying to check focus then, while I'm shooting...
That’s actually something I’m not sure about, I can’t test it now either as I’ve moved to a different camera for video, I mainly use zebras and peaking on my external monitors so didn’t really look back down at the Fuji screen at all! But thanks for bringing this point out I’m sure it will be helpful to many viewers 👍🏼
Hi, thanks for the video but am unable to find the option to customise my front dial on Xs10.. Using 35mm f1. 4 on it but am not seeing any option! Can you please help
I'm having the problem the the photo on the camera (LCD and EVF) look totally different than on my PC and Phone. On the camera much warmer and more saturated. That's a huge problem for me. I want to make sure that the photos look exactly the same. This way I can make proper choices. Did you fix this issue completely with your settings or how can I fix this?
Nice video Charlie, my 1st camera was a Fuji Finepix S 1000 a point and shoot camera, now I want to purchase a camera to try my hands on every genre of photography as a hobbyist and also will make workout out videos in the gym, my budget is $ 1000 for the body, will you advise any Fuji camera. Also maybe grab the body and pick up a used lens for video the xc15-45 is dope but if u can get a 18-55 f2.8 cheap enough to fall in budget then that lens could support you for most photography and it’s awesome for video ✌🏼
Hi Charlie, I love your presentations! I've just been using my X-S10 for several days, my first non-point and shoot camera, and it's much easier than I thought it would be. I'm exclusively shooting in manual, aperture and shutter priority. I have a question about the Q menu. I set my Q screen to 16 items. When I press Q, the upper left icon displays the current shooting mode, and is the only icon that can't be adjusted by the rear command dial. When pressing the Q for two seconds to access Q edit display, the same upper left area is blank and seemingly cannot be accessed. Is this how it is supposed to be? Thanks! Cheers, Steve
I think this is how Fuji have had that menu setup, I think previous cameras also had the menu like this and they got adjusted in future firmware updates, make a request to Fujifilm on their blog or contact forms and they may address it their really good like that 👍🏼
Head into the menu, click the wrench icon go to display or screen settings, scroll till u find custom screen icons or something like that then in that menu you can enable leveller then when using the lcd press display until you see it 👌🏼
