Guys, you have to remember that recovery is different for everyone. It depends on how your body handles the surgery. I was able to walk 5hours after surgery, only time i felt pain was when i was getting out of bed, but that also stopped after a week. It sucks eating healthy, i can relate to that, i did it for a month only tho (my surgeon told me to eat whatever i want, but i wanted to be careful for at least a month).

Turns out it was a Gallstone 7mm in diameter at the neck of the Gallbladder and was scheduled for a surgery a month later. Had surgery today and now dealing with the post surgery pain. Mine as well. I thought I was dying. My wife burst into tears because in all our tears she never seen me in such pain. So to calm her I laughed. But in my head I was like something has got to be terribly wrong to feel so bad. I thought it was over. And I got to the hospital and they couldnt give me pain meds because they couldnt figure out what the issue was. And by the time they gave me something I wasnt feeling anything. I guess I was n shock and my body numbed itself. And I went to sleep. Next thing I know I wake up not in pain. And they are wheeling me telling me I'm about to have emergency surgery to remove it. And I didn't protest or say a word. They could told me they needed a left testical and I wouldn't have said a thing as long as that pain never came back. I know a woman that had the same thing and she said giving birth was not as bad as a gallbladder attack.

I had my gallbladder taking out a year ago. The only problem I have is bloating & constipation. I hate tht. I can't eat all type of foods . I have to eat healthy. I don't eat to much . When I had my gallbladder I was always sick I didn't know I was sick . I was walking around with a big back bloated thinking I'm sick badly. I was weighing 309 with my gallbladder. After a year ago I'm 199 . Thts the best thing about my gallbladder taking out. I just hate being bloated and I have constipation. I finally find something tht helps me. Probiotics pills once a day. I'm no longer bloated. I had trapped gas also . But now tht I have those probotic pills. Im doin alot better. HAVING UR GALLBLADDER TAKING OUT IS NO JOKE . THEN HAVING ANXIETY I HAVE A Nervous stomach. But I'm doin better . With probotic pills.

I am stopping the medication rn so hopefully it gets better

I had my first gallbladder attack in March. I didn't realize it was my gallbladder, it felt like the worst acid reflux ever. It lasted all night, couldn't lay down, had diarrhea, nauseous. A week later it happened again but worse. Vomiting and diarrhea at the same time. Went to ER, they said I needed emergency surgery, transferred by ambulance to another hospital and they decided it was anxiety and sent me home. Went to a specialist and he said I definitely need surgery. My best friend just died so I'm getting through her celebration of life first then doing surgery right after. I just hope I can avoid any major attacks for the next couple of weeks.

I had my gallbladder removed 16hrs ago, home at 6pm that evening. After I woke I got up and walked to the toilet as soon as I felt I could, kept doing that hourly to help circulation. Then had some soup and steamed veg for lunch, drank lots of water and had steamed veg and tender steak for dinner at 5pm,doctors were happy for me to go home with pain relief. Now it's almost 2am and I can't sleep. Heat pack for shoulder pain from gas really helps and lots of sleep as your tired from the general anaesthesic. I also lost quite a bit of weight, 30kg in the 8m I waited for surgery as everything I ate made me sick even non fatty food, which apparently helped the surgery go smoothly.

Damn, I was in a very similar situation in my early 20s. Had attacks for a few years that would last 2-3 hours. Went to the doctor and they gave me meds for acid reflux. Ate a decent bit of food one Saturday night and was in pain for 15 hours straight after that. Tried eating something again on Sunday night and puked it out. Tried eating a tiny piece of bread Monday morning and the same pain returned. I was on a trip at the time so had a rough 8-hour drive back home where every bump hurt like hell. Got admitted to the hospital that night and they found really elevated pancreas and liver enzymes which indicated bad liver and pancreas inflammation as a result of a bile duct stone. I believe I had passed the stone by that point because I could eat a little bit at that point. They did my surgery Thursday morning and I was home a few hours later. Was able to eat a little bit of chicken and rice that night (which was amazing after eating a combined few hundred calories over the past 5 days), and then I immediately went out for a ~2km walk with my siblings - Probably not the best idea on the day of surgery but I was really happy to be moving again. I didn't need any pain meds but I took Tylenol because I got scared by a 1 hr pain session the day after surgery that reminded me of the old pain. Stopped it the next day though because I realized the pain probably came from something I ate upsetting my adjusting digestive system rather than from the surgery itself. There was still some surgical pain for around the 1st week but nothing unbearable or close to the actual gallstone pain. Also lost 10 lbs in those 5 days but was able to go back to eating regular decently healthy food right after surgery (pasta, rice, meat, eggs, fruits). Haven't tried anything too greasy yet but have been okay with having meals with ~20g of fat so far.

Yeah, I had my gallbladder taken out last month, I'm 19 so I'm young too. Legit, when I had a gallbladder attack it felt like Hell was inside my body. I get throwing up everything, water even. When I had an attack I would just jump in the shower and use hot water on the pained areas until one day it was too much. When they put me in the ambulance I IMMEDIATELY asked for drugs and OH MY GOD! It was amazing. So at the hospital they put me in a ctscan and said my gallbladder was inflamed and was full of gallstones amd it HAD to be taken out. I remember I was petrified cause I too never had surgery in my entire life. So, I asked if I had to cause I was freaking out. But you're right about the anesthesia. That shit works like magic. I don't even remember what points I passed out. But I'm glad its out and I hope I dont get fat cause I am already self conscious about my body as it is. Oh! Your sister has great taste in cities, lol, here in San Antonio Texas is the best.

Hey have you gotten the surgery already? I was working a manual labor job at the time too and after a week I wasn't able to do much. Took a month and got the ok from the surgeon and felt good enough to go 100% at work and start lifting weights again. It has been almost 2 years since and it is great to not have gallbladder attacks. Only trade off is every once in a while if I eat something too fatty it will go right through me. Good luck to you if you decide to get it done!

When you vomit, what color was it? Mine was like yellowish, when I threw up. When my mom saw the color of my vomit, she said that it wasn’t my food I was throwing up. That the color she saw, was a sign that it was my gallbladder. After my physical exam, and ultrasound, the nurses told me I had a large gallstone, and that my gallbladder was infected. I’m still waiting for my gallbladder surgery. But before the surgery I have to go for another check up, this Wednesday.

Very much informative video 👌👌 If anyone is suffering a lot with gallbladder stone attacks , it is recommended that he or she should get operated as soon as possible...Now with the help of laparoscopic surgery it has become very very less painful procedure with very less or negligible blood loss and being minimal invasive procedure it gives cosmetic result too..I.e negligible scar over the surgical site.☺️

Experienced similar post op pain due to not resting my body after surgery. Tried to return to work too soon - forced myself to rest, sleep, drink good water, jello and soups, smaller portions and clean eating. Strength gradually returns but giving body time to heal will prevent painful setbacks. On my 10th day post op and lost 10 pounds-feeling fantastic! 🤩

Hey, Just a question. After your gallbladder removal surgery and when you were recovering, did you had any small lump on the area where they have done the key hole surgery. I've done the surgery like 2 weeks ago and I'm in process of recovering and it's going well. But if I touch the surgical wounds with my finger, I can feel the small lump inside so I asked doctor about this and he said when the body is recovering, it can build up the fluid inside the wound area due to the deep cut and it's a normal symptom. Did you have any similar situation? Thanks

My first attack as they call it was when I was 14years old. I’m 26 now and about 3 weeks ago I got my gallbladder removed. Finally!! It is the most horrendous pain ever. At first when I would get my attacks it would last a good 4 hrs but I was able to take pain away with pain killers. The last 3 months before getting surgery my pain was coming ever single day and it was the worse ever. Finally a few days before getting surgery done I had some in n out very late at night. Woke up early morning in pain. The pain never went away. I went to hospital got my ultra sound done etc and was told they had to do emergency surgery on me. At that point I was in so much pain and was 2 days without food. Ahhh I feel exactly what you meant when you said you cried when eating the gram cracker. I went 4 days without eating and after surgery I had the same thing to eat a freaking cracker. And it was the best cracker I had ever had lol long Story short. If you have gallstones and are rethinking surgery? Just do it!! It is the best thing I ever did. It definitely changed the way I eat and think about diet but in a good way. I was a very poor healthy eater and now because of it I eat very clean. More for my kids because I DO NOT want them going thru what I did.

The pain is so much worse than having a baby. I'm supposed to get my gallbladder removed in 4 days, but I've thought about cancelling it because I'm so scared 😭. This video made me feel a little differently because I guess if it doesn't come out that it'll just blow up, hurt worse, and be harder to fix.
