Hey man, I'm so sorry, I know stuff like this happens all the time but it never hurts any less. Something similar happened to me (though I cant imagine losing an entire game) where I lost my entire portfolio of art and every animation I had done since my harddrive died (still looking to get that fixed if possible). But like I said, things like this happen! The only thing you can do is keep moving forward but again; don't forget to take time for yourself!! Take a break if you need too, don't ever overwork yourself. We're here for you man, your content is always fun and entertaining and no matter what, seeing you make games is why people are here! Whatever game *you* make is the game people wanna see. I'm excited to see Lunal Lane! I'm excited to see Gelli Fields! And I'm excited to see whatever you also decide to do. A note to clarify to everyone: Gelli World is NOT the slime simulator game, that is Gelli Fields and is an entirely different game. Gelli Fields is still in development!

It's such a huge bummer because I was really looking forward to Gelli World, but as someone who's trying to make a small game myself, I can imagine how devastating it must be to see all of your hard work vanish... Thank you so much Fairlii for everything you've done and are doing.
Well, I hope you have fun developing lunal lane and gelli fields! I understand the pain of having a project corrupted, my dumbass made a cool 3d game in the span of 5 months, and didnt even backup once, and the power went out, corrupting said game. I know it sucks but keep doing the things you love!
So sorry to hear this. I've had something similar happen to me a few months back, where I've lost almost all of my game dev progress, concept art, notes, etc. Haven't found the motivation to work on games since. I'm really glad to hear Lunal Lane is making a return, though. It's how I've first discovered your channel over 3 years ago. Seeing the little gif of Noble on the community tab kinda gave me a little tingle of nostalgia. (loving the new design, btw) Can't wait to see more!

Today i was planning to make a dev log because i was inspired to do so by your last video. But when i saw this video in my recommendations i knew i would need to stop doing what I'm doing and watch the video. I know how it feels to have something bad happen to a game. I quit working on my dream game in June because it was way too buggy and nothing worked. A few days ago a very important part of my game got corrupted and i thought about giving up, but lucky I backed up the game on a USB 2 days prior. I started watching the dev logs 2 months ago. On August 25th I watched the the video about the tree texture. That very day i decided to just create a texture for my dream game that i haven't worked on in months. Now, because of your dev logs , I'm continuing to work on my dream game. Yesterday, i watched your previous upload and was thinking about your pixel art style which inspired me to try to complete the texture that was causing me troubles. Now i can say that the texture i made yesterday is my new favorite.

I feel sad i saw everyone of your devlogs when they came out but even though i loved this game i can’t wait for luna lane i bet its tough but the comunity is here to support and we are right behind with step you take we will keep watching and enjoying your content even if it is a different game. I hope I helped a little bit at least Ps: is this game going to be released on steam I NEED to wishlist it if it is.
Hey man, I am really sorry to hear this. I completely understand how you might feel, so much hard work and dedication into something for it all to just disappear like that. Keep your head up and try to understand that although the game was a part of your channel the lesson you learned, fans you entertained, and relationships you made were not severed alongside Gelli World. Keep your head up and we will get through this together.
I'm sorry that gelli world is gone but hey on the bright side at least you have made a fan base that will stick with you as you make lunal lane and gelli fields the best games they can be
i'm so sorry. like, genuinely. i can imagine how much this hurts, although i can't put it properly into words. im interested to see the development of lunal lane. i may call it lunar lakes on accident from time to time because thats a sims 3 world it sounds similar to name-wise

Every professional programmer uses version control, which means backup of every piece of work, every day or more. Every month is way too few. For someone who's making a game for so long, I'm sorry, not buying it.

Ah that sucks man. I had a similar issue on a project I worked on a few years ago. I always make sure everything is backed up in source control now. At least you've got luna lane to fall back on. I can't wait to see what you do with that.

I'm really sorry about Gelli World. It was amazing to see how far you brought the game from the state of the very first devlog. Even if it's gone now, it was an incredible accomplishement! I absolutely adore Gelli fields and I'm very interested in Lunal Lane, plus I just really like you and your videos so rest assured I'm not going anywhere. I'm looking forward to seeing more of those projects in the future

Aw I'm sorry... Like I said before I had this happen to a RPG maker tech demo I was working on a few months ago... But I know Gelli words was bigger then that and I can't imagine what I'll do if I lost all my Universal TT Wargame/RPG stuff the main game I'm working on... It sucks but know this the experience you had making Gelli worlds isn't lost and will help you in making new titles faster and better trust me on that.
