Pete thank you for another awesome video. And thanks a ton again , you are such an inspiration I never thought in my dreams that i will make videos. Just because of you i have started my youtube channel. Thanks again. LOTS OF LOVE
Interesting fact, Peter: The brush is actually to brush the deadcat AGAINST the hair. That will make the hairs stick upwards, preventing water from seeping in, and also to cancel out wind noise even further :)
Peter McKinnon and the fact that it's called a "dead cat" makes it even weirder. Just brushing my dead cat... you know... typical quarantine day here in Toronto... By the way, I'm a drone pilot and cinematographer here in the 6ix. Let's work on something in the not too distant future once the world settles. Also, thanks for doing these giveaways! Edward.
Man, what a long way you've come since i started following you. Not once have i gotten bored of your videos. It's amazing to see! Such an awesome place to have, loving all the organisation you got going on!
To all aspiring photographers, cinematographers, freelancers.. it took Pete 10 years to get where he is now. I think we should all appreciate the hard work behind success and never give up on our dreams. Thanks for a very important reminder during this pandemic shitstorm. Congratulations to your success! Been following you since 2016. Happy to see this.
I'm sad that I just started my Journey of photography now at 32 and just now found your channel. I've already purchased all your lightroom packs sound effects pack and your LUT pack I love your videos and I'm hoping to learn more from you since I am disabled I haven't had a real job in years but this gives me so much passion and excitement thank you for being a part of the ignition that started me wanting to try it. I'm rocking a Nikon D5600 with a 18-55mm lens and just got a 70-300mm lens as well I'm hoping I can get your MD filters eventually but right now I need to learn how to get some bangers so I can offered it. Be safe and rock on!
Favorite Item? I love the tool boxes with the dedicated storage drawers...I love everything actually. Organization is so key to moving fast and getting the job done....as we all know when an idea hits, you dont have the time or energy to be looking everywhere fopr the little pieces to get it done!
Herbal Giles less than 400 bucks? There are 5 LP-E19 batteries for the 1Dx Mark 2 and those alone are 163$ each so 815$ only this batteries and then the ones for the C500 Mark 2 which can be up to 430$ each (Canon BP-A60). So yes at least in my case, his battery collection is probably worth more than my set up
Peter deserves to get to 10 million. He has worked hard and makes great content for filmmakers from any where in their career. I am pretty new to it, I started a year or two ago.
peter logic: *has a literal metal cage with security and a locking metal door* *has a secret ladder that bypasses the cage door* *shows the internet how to find the ladder*
Peter McKinnon the favorite thing in your cage is your memories and how passionate you are about every lens and every camera ... how each lens you can remember a time in place in your journey or the camera that got you started and how it’s like an old friend sitting on the shelf continuing to be there for you in your journey- that camera is like the grandfather camera
The story behind certain pieces of equipment that are kept like the first camera and the old lenses, these are memories and a career progression that are priceless.
Because a cage storage room looks cool lots of stock rooms have a cage in it to lock up high end products. Plus it gors with the look of tge wear house
Every time I feel like quitting content creation, filmmaking and photography, I'm gonna come back to this video to remind me where I can go with it. You adding your story with the gears and the evolution arc honestly made this video 500 times better! This is amazing!
I've been following and watching Peter since the beginning when he set up his closet with shelving so he could fit a few things in there. I remember when 100k was a major milestone and he made a special video for it and when he talked about how many jobs he had because he never felt they were right for him. Seeing his dream being manifested and seeing how far he's come makes me glossy eyed.... He is an inspiration. Thank you Peter for inspiring us to follow our dreams.
I think my favorite thing in the cage has to be you're older cameras that you keep for sentimental purpose. I love that you have those as a reminder of how you started, and it says a ton about the character that you have which I think is awesome! Also love the whole cage its glorious
I was just talking to my mom the other day about your bag and how perfect and in detail you’ve made it. So thankful for you and all your hard work that you have not only put in this channel, but for also investing so much time into all of us and creating such an intricate bag for all of us to enjoy. Been a faithful sub since 70k subscribers, and I can truly say you have changed my life in the most positive and outstanding way. You’ve been my biggest role model on my photography journey and when anyone asks where I learned all that I know, I always send them to your channel and IG. Thanks Peter for all your hard work! We all love you and your family loads!💓 Stay safe and blessed. 😊
Timothy Andrews I think he kind of did a few years ago. He talked about getting his first camera as a gift for being his siblings wedding. Went and got a memory card and started taking photos of the grass in his back yard and such. Have to go back and see if I can find the video. Good stuff.
@@StudioAddidas go to rules and regulations under the button where you can enter and go to eligibility. You can enter but i dont know if you can actually win and i dont think they can ship it to Europe unfortunately.
Hey Peter , 2 years late here with this video. I just want to say CONGRATS MAN! This video made me emotional, not only seeing how far you’ve came but also a symbol of my success as well! Started filming in 2016 with a T5! Watch all your two minute Tuesday tutorials and you were a big part of what inspired me at the start off my career. Starting 2020 I succeeded in music videos and now own my very own production company. Worked with Vince staples, Dave East, Blxst, Etc. and now looking to get a warehouse to turn into a studio and rent out to other film makers. Guess I’m saying all this because you were that “normal guy” to me. If Peter can do it, why can’t I? Haven’t watched your videos in a while I’m sorry lol! But wow! Love to see your success Peter! Much love -David Galvan
:( My dream is an Eos 5D Mark iv... And I can't even list all my dream lenses. Sadly, there's not much time for me to become rich or practice photography and editing, due to my education. Hopefully, someday I will get there. Besides, my laptop just broke so I definitely have no opportunity of editing pictures now. :D
@@dean9504 Do you have some work in your portfolio? Call 10-15 businesses and offer your services for low pay or free. That will get you the eos r. Trust me. My second client ever paid me $900. Got lucky, but I put in the work. Also, my portfolio back then was 1 video.
It's a very beautiful cage. 👍👍 The empty wall can be used to setup a charging setups. Like a entire wall for charging equipment so chargers and batteries won't be lying on the table.
Has a hammock as a sealing...life goals! Absolutely love your vids! Learning alot , been recording videos all my life but now i really wanna kick it up a notch! 😍
Hey, Pete. I just wanted to throw it out there - it’s a little pity that the giveaway is US only as there is a lot of us here in Europe that love your stuff 🤞🏻 I know it’s complicated, you get the point 🤷🏻♂️ Anywho, I’ve been following you for a while, keep it up 🙏🏻🍷 Proud proud
Literally yesterday i was looking around for some gear tour and was thinking that when will peter put forward his gear tour and now it is happening ....
Three words: credit card offers. Tons upon tons of cards these days have close to 2 years no interest on purchases and balance transfers, and after the first year they start offering 12mo no interest for 4-5% transfer fee so you can keep using the card. Literally any business takes investment, and what's nice about professional camera gear is it keeps its value. Used lenses sell only minimally below retail on eBay every day. Strobes do too. So it's not like you're just burning through money like when you eat at a restaurant. And as long as you don't miss payments, your credit will only get BETTER. The balances will hit it some at first, but it recovers more quickly than you'd expect. Naturally you don't want to go overboard, but a pro camera body and 1-3 pro level lenses isn't unreasonable, maybe 1-3 strobes (Flashpoint is super affordable comparatively and super high quality). But if you want a portfolio that will eventually get you work, you have to be creating professional grade content. Nobody will hire you thinking “if I hire them now, in 2 years they may be able to capture top quality content for me.” No. You have to be able to produce NOW and build polish into your portfolio NOW. I think we're all scared it'll only ever just be a hobby, but if you never take a chance you'll never know.
I've got 45 drones and about 20 cameras.....just got 3 new Panasonic LUMIX cameras & the Hero 8 Black.....started photography back in 1981 when I worked at Canon....won an AV-1 at the Christmas dinner then bought more when I worked at Blacks Photography at the main processing plant in Markham....since then I can't stop buying cameras....oh and drones....a few are branded and but I really like building them from scratch....my latest is the TAROT X8.....it is 57" from blade tip to blade tip.....carbon fiber blades....eight motors.....fold down arms.....retractable landing gear.....that the fun camera.....love your videos Peter
Decades ago I worked for Glazer's Camera in Seattle- where the pros shopped and rented gear from. We had ALOT of gear; you name it, we had it. And Peter has almost as much. Gear= Capabilities. Talent= Results.
Being that I’m a gadget girl I can totally relate to how you feel about what it took for you to get this cage. Such a beautiful story Peter and keep doing what you’re doing, which is inspiring, creating amazing content, and living your dreams.
Peter you are the man!!!! Because of you I thought I wanna get out of my comfort zone and need to do something successful in my life as well so I started my RU-vid channel last month now I’m so thankful, I’m on my way to become a successful RU-vidr in my life.... anyway I need some feedback and support from you guys as well to grow up my channel as well once again thank you so much for everything.....👍❤️❤️❤️😊
Man, these videos are just 100% on-point. The lighting, the colors, the slo-mo, the titles... It's all there and it's always slick and never tacky. I love the way the edits are done in sync with the music at 5:00. Peter is a rare talent when it comes to video editing and he inspired me to also have a go at it. I've been a photographer for the last 20 years and never bothered with video, even though my camera does that as well (Sony A7R mk3). I just installed HitFilm Express and I'm watching tutorials now. Wish me luck!
I mean there are a ton of things in that cage that is dope but lets just talk about the raw thought process that went into the design. This gives me so much motivation to pull everything out of my office/studio and redesign everything!
The thing is.... I dont have a camera. I Love photography. My mobile is not best for photography. But one day, I will achieve my dream. Love you. Edit : there's a lot pf people who are looking for food. So I can proudly say ' I am living in my house. I have a bed that i can sleep. And i have a smartphone' We can pray for those peoples.
I was in your place, man. I was using a phone that was around 7k, then I kept shooting, kept posting on Instagram. 5 years later, I managed to upgrade my phone and saved over 6 years to buy my first camera. It's all about how dedicated and how interested you are. Others will just follow. Keep hustling! You'll get there soon enough!
My fav part is the storage shelve! Currently my fiancé wants me to get all my drone and camera gear out of the master closet but it’s just so perfect for what I need. Here’s hopin to getting to your level of awesome!
I think this is one of the best "whats in my gear cage" or rather overall intros I've seen since a very very long time! Dope man! your work is so inspiring and amazing!!!
You could have proffesianl equipment or you could have like 8 houses 🤣 also I am not allowed to own Instagram am I not allowed to participate in the giveaway?
you should have a beam coming off the ceiling that reaches the top of the door. The beam would have a magnet and so would the very top of the door. Would keep it open and just pull to close!
