I’m sorry, but OP’s ex sounds like she is either dumb or genuinely horrid. Lazy to write every part that was suspicious of being a story but I'm goinf to tell some. - How did OP best friend knows that the girlfriend is pregnant? I’m 8:45 in and I’m stuck between wanting to know how this plays out, and not sure I can bear 16 minutes and 30 seconds of this purple prose, needlessly wordy writing. Trying this hard to pAiNt A wOrD pIcTuRe with every fucking sentence just reeks of a 10th grader who just discovered similes and thinks he’s Ernest Hemingway. Like you’re a good story teller my guy, just stop getting in your own way. Details to help visualize the scene are good, but you use analogies and descriptive language like a fucking comma. It makes it hard to follow. The descriptive details and ornate language need to enhance the story, not distract from it. It’s like salt. A little bit makes everything better, dumping the entire salt shaker on your food ruins everything Damn I went way harder on that than I planned
