These three brothers (Brothers Gibb = Bee Gees) lasted 5 decades! They wrote over 1000 songs and sold over 200 million albums. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The American Songwriters Hall of Fame, The British Songwriters Hall of Fame,and numerous Grammy Awards, just to name a few! They wrote #1 Hits for other artists, too. The "one in middle" is oldest brother - Barry, the other two were twins Robin and Maurice, and they DID have individual careers, too.

They are brothers and all three of them are genious and ALL of them have also their own fans but they were loved as a group bc. of their harmonies and also bc, of their personalities, voices, songwriting.

The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin'. From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). Barry is always the extra swag bro. He’s the oldest. The other two are twins. They had a baby bro who of course had the talent too. It’s in their water. He died at a young age. The twins are gone too😢. Oldest Barry is the only one left.

When they were very young starting out they had BGs letters sewn onto their little vests and were known as the BGs. Say the name as if you are saying those initials B G. Later they updated the spelling to Bee Gees. Barry did more leads in the Fever/disco period, but there was not really a leader. They wrote together and traded lead often. Robin is known for his emotional vibrato and Mo (Maurice - pronounced Morris) for a softer sound. All very talented. Robin had the most prolific solo career (mainly in Europe), Mo's unrealeased album, The Loner, is quite good and Barry's 2016 In The Now is good as well. The all could have done fine on their own, but they were just magic together.

Actually they each took the lead from time to time. They’ve been around from the mid sixties.

The Lead in the middle is Barry, the other two are TWINS! Maurice with the beard & Robin. They have a younger brother Andy who had a solo career but he passed away sadly at the young age of 30 from a heart attack most likely induced from hard drug use😔

Since you have a problem with how to pronounce their name this may help, as children they were trying to come up with a name for the band, their promoter came up with the idea of calling them BGs because a number of people in the room had those initials, they didn't add the extra letters until later so it is BG which later just stood for brothers Gibb

Pronounced b- gs ( brother gribbs) all four brothers are legendary. Barry is the only surviving brother and the oldest. They started in the 60's all decades' #1 hits and 5 generations

The BeeGees they are here for a long time the headletters B and G stands for Brothers Gibb they have made huched songs in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's one year after releasing the last album in the 00's Maurice Gibb died, his other brother Robin died in 2013 i think. All three of these brothers can sing lead although Barry and Robin were the two main lead singers. Maurice and their song Nights on Broadway plays the high falsetto and Barry doesn't sing any High falsetto and Nights on Broadway that's one of the main reasons I wanted you to listen to that one after staying alive and one quick phone that you'll really like Robin playing the lead in is I started a joke he sang and several others too but that's one of my favorites it's a real sad song.
