My girlfriend's spoiled little sister came to my comedy show and tried to ruin my career, so I humbled her joke of a life and made her cry, now my girlfriend won't speak to me. Plus two updates. #reddit #redditupdates #redditstories
I like how in her head it was ok for her to be embarrassed of him and his career choices but the red second she got even a whiff of the idea that he might disapprove of HER background she blew her top. Bro dodged a bullet.
Yup. Sister is immature, narcissistic and nasty, ex GF is spineless. She knew 100% her sister was in the wrong and the sister should be the one apologizing to OP, but ex GF loves her dad's money more than she loved OP.
@@mannydcbianco no it's not just dad money it's hypergamy here she just got promotion, have a good carrer and good familly background ...if the men was sucessfull the dad like the GF will force the sister to appologize and move on, but he is not anbd so need to learn "his place".
Nope. Y'all got it wrong. This is all Daddy's fault. He can't even let his kids (adults) handle their own business. He had to come along and join in. (Absolutely crossing the line, completely foul.) He didn't stop them or even really acknowledge what this guy was saying to him. A decent human being, rich or not, would've said "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize she had done that. I'll talk to her. I'll help her understand." Nope. You can blame the girlfriend and the sister and you're right to a point, but this is all Daddy's doing. When you raise your kids to be a POS, they'll remain a POS. He took away any and all accountability for them and this is where we are. When your daughter is embarrassed by her hardworking boyfriend (and being a comic is horrifically hard work), you've failed as a parent. Sure, they're sacks of skin filled with venom and vinegar, but he made them that way. Screw them and that old man can piss all the way off. Disgusting people.
I had a cousin with parents like that. He became the complete opposite of the spoiled brat we grew up with very quickly after he moved out of his parent's place. The weird thing is his parents stopped being stuck up jerks around the same time too. I never asked what happened, because it's not my business, I avoid family drama like the plague, but I am happy to have seen people like that who really changed. It happens so rarely sometimes you don't think it can happen at all.
I never understand relationships like this 😅 When you get with a creative who is lookkng to make their creative outlet a genuine career (not the type who just laze around and pretend, the people ACTUALLY doing it), why be with them if you aren't supportive? The truly embarrassing thing here is how she got super offended at her man potentially applying those rich girl comments to her, only to reveal that they DO apply to her.
so essentially, rich brats being rich brats. Simple as basically. Also, there's a semi likely chance that the ex-GF will end up regretting her choice I'd say
If only the sugar daddy didn't have those girls wrapped around his fat fingers, they _could_ have developed some accountability, responsibility, some decency, and common sense. The ex tried, but money just had too much of a swing on her. Hope the dad has the time of his life raising 40 year old girls.
It's gonna hurt when they're circling his deathbed and he knows the only reason they're with him is because they want to pick his pockets the second he checks out.
rich beachs all the same! rich daddy comes and sais something and they think if they dont do wtf he tells them to they wont see the money no more so they bark when he tells them to... normal rich beach behaviour
OP fucked up when he started apologizing to the sister and dad. He told his gf what could happen if her sister acted up, so that's where he should've kept the conversation. Instead he let himself get baited into defending his he responded.
FAKE 1. "somewhat successful comic" makes anonymous reddit post instead of putting it in bit/podcast/social media 2. Author/AI keeps giving is comparisons because "thats what comics do" yet he has 3 strike rule and was very nice of letting sister walk over him 3. scared to stand up to girlfriend, but sends bouncer, but she is not mad, but then she is mad... 4. SERIOUSLY, any of you know stand up comedian who makes anonymous posts!? Yeah, those guys hate attention, its not like their whole job is to get their name out there
Yes, comics do on occasion post anonymously. I actually know one who did it and worked it into his act after the fact. And comics deal with heckers in all sorts of ways. Sometimes it does require a bouncer. Is the story real? Well, it's at least plausible. I've seen worse fiction. But I've experienced situations that I would have thought were bad movie plots if I didn't experience them firsthand.
The whole incident stems from his dislike of the sister. Would he have gone as hard in his insults if it was just a random stranger doing the heckling? The way he explains the story it's like: "She's a rude brat, I don't like her, she got it coming, so I'm doubling down on my stance.". If he were on good terms with the sister, after the show it would have gone more like "Hey, sorry I went a bit hard on you, it's a comedy show, please don't take it too serious, we're good right?", and there would have been no problem at all.
He already warned her before it happened, and he had way more to lose in the situation, for her she gets offended for him it can ruin his career, I would say he is justified on not backing off here and it worked out for him as it allowed him to see how easily his GF buckles under family pressure who then basically convince her, that his career is the problem.
Well, he wouldn't have come down on her at all if she weren't a brat and acting like it. It's like picking a fight with an MMA fighter with beer muscles...hard to feel sympathetic for a victim when their wounds are self-inflicted.
