It's cool how competitive he is. How fast he goes for the clock shows just how committed to winning he is. That's against his daughter. I wonder how he felt about playing in the higher stakes venues.

I was hanging out with some ppl and there was a chess board. So I asked if anybody knew how to play and this 12 yr old girl said she did. I asked her if she was any good and her mom and this other woman that was there started talking about how good she was and most likely she'd beat me so I scholar mated her twice in a row. Then I taught her how to do it and defend then I played her normally.

I didn't know Anna but she was invited by a Spanish RU-vidr for am interview. She grew up in Málaga but moved to Sweden and the change was tough and difficult to adjust due to the language, life style and weather. She said is only 21! Very mature for her age

This is great. I remember playing scrabble with my dad (he was a scholar; I was a college drop out) and never winning a game until he was 80 and I was 47, He never gave me an inch. I loved every minute of the competition.

We observed an identical trait in medicine and law students studying hour after hour in various university libraries in Australia (in the pre-internet days).
