Just a nice travel day down to Galle!
A place full of history and influences from multiple cultures!!
Taking the iconic train in Sri Lanka is always a must. Kelum and I made the mistake of not eating breakfast. So we had a little snack attack on the way down the Galle. Just not nice isso vadai and chickpea snacks to hold us over.
As soon as we arrived, we had to go for some lunch! This place was really fascinating as the curry and rice definitely was tailored more towards a Chinese taste. The dishes were sweeter and had a different texture from the previous rice and curries I had eaten.
After checking into our hotel, we came back in the afternoon to walk the fort and check it out. Then we got caught in some rain so we snacked on local fruits and then went for the ultimate late night meal, kottu.
This Kottu was okay, but not nearly as good as the one I had in Pilawoos in Colombo!
