I’m gonna be That Guy and point out that peanuts are big in Thai food. PB Captain Crunch would go well with Thai sauce and seasonings. I was going to say that it might be outside your comfort zone but as I watch your channel I’m not sure you even have a comfort zone!
My memory of Captain Crunch as a child is that tried them one time and they made the roof my mouth sore they were so hard. I never ate them again. After watching this - I just might have to try them in a new and reinvented way. 😀
Capn Crunch was used on chicken tenders at the Rain Forest Cafe in Mall of America decades ago. It was very popular. Works well with fried icecream too.
I love when a simple recipe is all it takes to make something incredible. Thank you for showing how easy this can be. I can't wait to try it with Capt. Crunch.
I haven't had that cereal in decades, but willing to buy a box just so I can try this recipe. It's always the weirdest ingredient(s) that get the puzzled looks and highest praise
My wife discovered this recipe in Sam’s cookbook and has been making it for a few years now. It’s a hit as an appetizer. Neighbors are always asking us to bring it
Cap’n Crunch was my fave as a kid! (69 this year). And how it stuck to your teeth so you spent most of the morning in class trying to get it off! A breakfast food that lasts for hours! 😂😂😂
Been watching you for years and recently caught up having viewed all the past years episodes. Now having to wait for the Monday Wednesday and Friday episodes to air is HARD to do. Keep em coming - can’t wait to try the tuna with Capn Crunch!
I remember when you did this a few years ago & that's when I subscribed to this channel. The next time I go to Denver, I'm getting some fresh slabs to do this again!
It's one of those combinations that's so odd; I absolutely have to try it (plus tuna is my favorite fish). Thanks, Sam and the gang!! Love your videos!
i always make one of your recipes when i visit my big bro.. I remember when you talked about this on the live show years ago and it's definitely happening next time i see him! thanks for making it an easy choice 😎
Eating this right now! Caught some Tuna in the Gulf of Mexico a few weeks back so I thought Sam's stuff we all generally really like, I'll try this. This is an awesome way to cook Tuna.
That looks amazing. I’ve tried quite a few of your recipes and this one is definitely going on the to do list. Never been disappointed. From the delicious food, video editing, music and most importantly the comedy….hands down one of my favorite channels!!! Please don’t stop doing your thing!
congrats on your well-deserved award, gentlemen! and that recipe sounds amazing. I'm a 43 yo man and Cap'n Crunch is one of my favorite cereals. all my life I was never able to put my finger on just what the flavor profile is, other than I swore it tasted buttery (which sounded ridiculous). just recently come to find out that they were going for *brown sugar and butter over rice*. imagine my vindication! but also, it's pretty clear why such a crazy-sounding combination would work in this scenario. I absolutely want to make this for my wife and not tell her what it is!
This was the very first recipe I tried when you had your show on the local San Diego channel! Still amazing and shows how long it's been and how far you've come.
I think this would taste good. I've 'breaded'/cerealed? chicken breast a few times. It was good. I think it's the air pockets that make it taste so good....lol
