i recommend glossiers wowder to EVERYONE!! i have extremely oily skin but have found it’s the best power i’ve ever used. it works so well for me. keeps my makeup on all day and even hides redness and kinda blurs everything out ❤️
I love the elf holy hydration fragrance free moisturizer it’s amazing! My skin is dry and it’s not too lightweight or too rich! I also love using face safe oils like almond oil or rose hip oil after moisturizer it locks in moisture 😊
The pyunkang Yul moisturizer from YesStyle is so good for me. As someone with very dry skin, even thick moisturizers don’t do a lot, but the pyunkang Yul moisture cream is the only one that gives me what I need without using a lot. A drugstore option that I also really enjoyed was the elf fragrance free holy hydration cream. If I run out of the pyunkang Yul cream I’ll repurchase the elf one since YesStyle takes a while to deliver lol.
I have super dry skin and I’ve found that the entire elf skincare line helps me a ton. Most of the time I use the holy hydration moisturizer and the holy hydration night cream. Right now I’m using the daily hydration moisturizer(it’s a little cheaper and smaller) right now but the entire skincare line helps with my dry skin
Adding in the Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Power Essence to the end of my routine has really helped my dry patches this winter. Before I was flaking everywhere and my skin felt tight and dry whenever I woke up but the snail essence had really helped to seal in all the skincare goodness and moisture in my skin. I think you can get it from ulta or yesstyle, though yesstyle might have it on sale more often.

For dry skin moisturizers, I like the cerave renewing night cream and the cetaphil redness reducing moisturizer! It will probably be cheaper and easier to buy them on Amazon. If you want a THICC moisturizer, go with the cerave one. The cetaphil one is a bit lighter, but still very nice!
If you have dry skin I would recommend using facial oil. I just use a drop or two and it literally makes you skin so hydrated and glowy also for moisturizer recommendation, I recommend Cerave’s moisturizing cream. I got in march and I still have a ton left and I use it everyday :)

L’Oréal infallible pro glow is my winter foundation. It stays put and it’s hydrating. Recently repurchased! Also the elf halo glow powder doesn’t dry me out but sets and gives a nice finish. Glow recipe Watermelon dew drops and Maybelline lifter gloss
I have EXTREMELY DRY SKIN This is my routine I used la roche posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanse Then I used vichy mineral 89 HA serum and then I used cerave moisturizing cream or bioderma atoderm cream and lastly my favorite spf of all time black girl kids sunscreen it’s not irritating at all

I'm really into Korean skincare and I love the Make prem micro tension cream and the Safe me relief (definitely for night time cuz a bit more glowy leaning towards greasy for day time). I also LOVEEEEE the Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief serum before moisturizer. It can handle any struggle my skin is going through. So hydrating but also calming. It's a holy grail for any skin time imo.
Really random but a little art reason why I think those bright pink looks really natural -> I had a senior art studio student tell me a trick that when painting realistically shadows tend to be warmer in tone and areas in light tend to be cooler; so it makes sense that the “red” flush of cheeks would look slightly cooler and more cool pink than a warm red in white natural light. 💕✨
Have you tried the Cosrx snail mucin all in one cream? I at times can over dry and develop very flaky skin when I over do it with Retin A. It’s the only moisturizer that helps repair that quite quickly without being oily.
Highly recommend the Ponds brand dry skin moisturizer and their rejuvenate anti-aging line. The moisturizers don't clog pores and they're even able to be used as a makeup remover. I use mine both ways and have for over 4 years and love them. I've used the pink lid one (for dark spots) the blue lid one (dry skin moisturizer) and the red lid one (anti-aging line). All work great! They're over 100 years old and works for generations of women! 😊

I highly recommend the Kate Somerville goat milk moisturizer and cleanser for dry and sensitive skin! I have super picky skin when it comes to skin care and although it's pricy it is definitely worth it! I've been using it for over a year and it is hands down the best moisturizer for day and night or anytime you need hydration 😊
That’s so funny you associate pink blush with winter! Oddly I feel like I have one for like each season LOL. I use the cloud paints: storm for winter, puff for spring, beam for summer and dawn for fall.
The ColourPop pretty fresh primer it's really good. I have dry skin and that gives me a really dewy look to my base, feels really good on those days that we feel extra dry, on winter. And also it smell really good
Not a moisturizer or makeup but when I had dry/peely/flaky skin last winter I tried the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Toner and it really helped! It’s also not too expensive which is great
Hi Sarah, dry skin sister over here :D I just bought First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair and it's wonderful! It a thick/rich cream and I was afraid it would stay on the skin for hours, instead it absorbs super fast! Incredible for the winter weather and if I need another layer i just apply Vichy mineral 89 prior to the cream. Love the Romand tints and this look on you!
Two really good moisturizers is vanicream moisturizing cream and cermedx ultra moisturizing cream. I was on accutane and now dry skin, the vanicream and cermedx are like my holy grails. Highly suggest. Happy holidays everyone
My drugstore moisturizer recommendation might be different from your current routine, but I have dry skin and I like using Cereve’s AM moisturizer in the morning. I find it quenches my dry skin and it also has spf 30 in it, which is nice that I don’t have to use a separate sunscreen. It also has never messed up my face makeup but it does make my eye makeup sit funny, so I suggest using a different moisturizer or eye cream on the eye area. I also follow Jessica Braun and she seems to love Cereve’s Ultra Light Face Moisturizer w spf, she says that ones works well with her makeup. Just some options!
I have very very dry skin and in the winter I like to use some kind of expensive products. I like to use RMS makeup remover wipes and I cut them in half. I like to use them because they make my skin so soft. I also use RMS beauty oil, 3 drops after spraying the Evian spray on my face. I also add Garnier moisture rescue after that. I find that this combo is the best for my skin. Another thing you might want to try is the Dr Jart cicapair creme!! That stuff looks wierd and has a little bit of medicine smell but I've gotten used to it and it's like a tinted moisturizer plus it has spf so an added bonus. It also plays well with both powder and cream formulas so it makes you look amazing without making it look like you have any makeup on at all.
Oh and another HG of mine is honest beauty magic beauty balm!! That stuff is amazing!! It can be used as an all over facial moisturizer, it can be used on lips, it can be used as a highlight which is nice in the winter. I mostly use it where I get the driest like in between my brows, under my eyes and around my nose

I was about to say facial oils but someone in the comments have already said it so my other trick is using makeup products that have hydrating ingredients. Like, my powder blush has got mango butter, Shea butter and all that hydrating ingredients so it doesn't dry out my skin. And my last tip would be using hydrating setting spray to ensures longevity.

honestly, ive found that my makeup always goes on best after sunscreen and i LOVE the pipette sunscreen,, its perfect for dry skin and leaves me with a dewy look. its not sticky either so there's not a pull . i am curious though-- do you ever get super dry on your eyelids (specifically toward the inner corner)? i need recommendations on how to get my makeup to work with that dryness
My dermatologist prescribed me a lotion with 0.05% Desonide in it. Moisture my skin and got rid of my redness. $15 after health insurance cheaper than fancy stiff. Maybe ask a doctor? Some prescription is cheaper and more effective.
