My Go-To Work Fragrances - The Best Office-Safe Scents 

It should be labled "Office fragrances" imo,so that it dont excludes some of us who "work" in the industrial sector in a overall hands on aproach getting dirty Thats why wearing Coolwater wave,issey intense,perri ellis red 360 as an work scent sounds weird,but works perfectly in my situation lol. Even a weak scent like nautica voyage pops when i wear it at work due to the high temp .

I have Guerlain Homme L'eau Boisee and absolutely love that vetiver/lime combo. The opening to me is such a juicy, zingy lime. Addicting. I've been eyeing Homme EDP for a while, and it's good to hear it's one of your best too. I'm college age and heard Homme EDP is slightly more mature, but I don't think it'd be a big problem. I am also a sucker for lists lol. Individual reviews alongside can still be good.

Guerlain Homme EDP has been my go to signature for the warmish humid days, late dry down is so good when the clary sage and nutmeg come through.

Thank you for your opinion. I have Floris No. 89 and Versace Pour Homme. I do love my Citrus scents. They are great for South Florida b/c we don't have winter. I've seen some of the other fragrances that you mentioned, so I will try to pick up some samples.

So I’m scanning through your pics and every single one are tops for me. One I own and extremely underrated is Cartier l’Envol which is fantastic and another since you like egoiste is the original Allure Homme in clear bottle. It’s timeless and not a flanker, like the rest.

I've never tried GIT but Tres Nuit is pretty good. I don't think I need to shell out $200(50ml) to get the similar results as a $20 bottle.

Great list. Some of my fav frags and lots of variety for the office setting. I tend to err on the side of caution at work (frontline healthcare: in case patients read too much into what I'm wearing or it distracts from clinical interview) so just go with lower sillage scents like Nautica Voyage, Coach for men or Polo Blue that keep me smelling fresh by end of the day. GIT is really great but projects a bit too much for me- so I use Banana Republic Grassland as an alternative, but that is also a little powdery so tend to go with blue frags and just use it occasionally. Versace pour Homme also a nice blue frag but I get a fair bit of sillage from it so will tend to use it on days off or after work. Should also add that HdP 1828 is a really interesting selection, haven't tried it, but will give it a sample

I own a clone of Dia Man from Fragrenza because I really can't afford the original from Amouage. If it's anything close to the original than it's damn good. I can't not speak highly enough about it. Great video!

Histoires de Parfums 1828 is great also try 1725 and This is not a blue bottle 1/.5 & This Is Not A Blue Bottle 1/.1 all great work scents. And Dia is one o my favorites but I would add Beloved Man to this list, and last but not least Acqua di Parma Oud is a super workhorse.

I have the Sandalo EDP. The opening is a clean citrus and lavender, but dry's down to a warm spicy, almost "ginger-bread" cookie smell. If a hot and fresh ginger bread cookie was made from sandalwood hahaha.

This sums up Chanel Platinum Egoiste for me: a hybrid of Creed Green Irish Tweed DNA and a generic Fougere DNA, and together they produce an unrelenting metallic accord. The metallic accord is a bit too much for me. I'm still trying to learn to like it. I think Guerlain Homme could work as an office scent because its performance is such a whisper. Very weak projection and longevity. Homme L'eau Boisée is better because the extra wood accords sustain performance better. I don't remember Homme having much of that famous Guerlain-ade DNA, like the classics. I can smell it in Habit Rouge and Heritage - that vanilic oriental accord. But I need to revisit the Homme line, maybe I forgot. I just figured that under new leadership and ownership Guerlain had changed direction and lost the classic Guerlain-ade. I agree with the "subdued elegance" of Floris No. 89. I call it the quintessential mid-century English Gentleman Cologne. Subdued, reserved, refined, elegance is all part of that. But it is VERY mid-century classic. Not modern. I like that but it would be a niche office wear.

GIT is strong soapy. It’s not a heavy fragrance, but because it’s a soap scent it’s pungent in nature & will irritate some peoples nose.
