I hope your fish gets better soon... I just found this channel today because my new baby oranda has swim bladder...Can I ask if its ok to use canned peas? I boil them & remove the skin before mashing it then give it to her. I also bought epsom salt and bathed her in it for abt 12 mins once since I read it helps... Am I helping my fish or making it worse?
One of my fish was bloated on one side. I don't have access to these fish antibiotics. Will I be able to use human amoxicillin and minocycline for its treatment?
Dead probably. Dropsy usually indicates organ failure. Domestic fancy goldfish for unknown reasons have high rate of kidney failure. My suspicion is the extremely horrible diet they are raised with by these breeders. Egg with high protein grounded up pellets, massive amounts of blood worms and overfeeding to the max can't be good on their organs.
Dropsy is either super fast or super slow I have lost majority of my gold fish to it , they’re in a 95 gallon tank . I’ve had it hit so fast a fish that was fine an hour earlier is now bloated laying on its head..
just curious cuz idk much about dropsy..how do you know this fish has dropsy? it looks ok to me. its swimming around and its color looks ok. please help educate me on why this fish has dropsy?
There's almost no chance of recovery from dropsy in these fancy types. You have to give them medicated FEED. Waterborne medication nearly never works. And you want to use Kanamycin or Metronidazole, or sometimes a combo of both. Amoxicillin is the wrong type of antibiotic.
Not really sure. I always check my water quality and it’s always good. I often gets Dropsy during colder months and I’m thinking maybe the bacteria attack the fish when the fish is kinda weak when the temperature is low
my guppy had dropsy, and tried to salth bath, and i saw something went out of her but with yellow jelly stuff like grapes, and his tummy is back to normal but he has a yellow colored grapes on her but, and weakens, and i watched her until he last gasp of oxygen from her gills :( my 1 year old guppy, R.i.P just happened last week ....
@@ranchukoisd sir san ka sa US? Andito din ako, sa Augusta, Georgia kami. Ung Ranchu ko din same sayo my dropsy cguro almost 1 month na. Tinitreat ko lang mg melafix at salt bath. Matakaw pa nman kmain tsaka active. Gano tinagal nung sayo?
