That second match against Saint Traft must have had the opponent banging their head against the wall for taking out the Leyline of the Void over Sanctity.

To be fair, the way they were playing they must have banged their head into the wall before the game started, too. I'm no pro by any stretch, but seeing these kinda misplays in Mythic Ranked is mind-boggling.

The clairvoyant player in the second match is what LVD's skill is all about. A keen sense of the game. 'ok, this card is game over but with all the early discard in the meta, the opponent is likely to sacrifice the black enchanment to protect his combo keeping the hexproof from the white ley line enchantment. Let's hide our game plan and let's wait and see.' Bam ! He 's right. What a champ !

I've been really enjoying the Timeless content. I really want to get into that format but I've been trying to study your Timeless videos to learn what decks and cards are good for before I spend the wildcards. There's a big price barrier to entry to Timeless for me because I've always been a mostly Standard Andy but Standard is so shit right now that I'm just gonna eventually stomach the upfront cost and get the hell out of here.

The meta also looks a lot different. Historic has a bigger percentage of combo decks, which are usually faster. Timeless tends to have more interaction, which is bad for combo decks, but we don't mind as much playing selfmill.

Neat! Personally, I like Sultai better in this format, to access Grisly Salvage and Satyr Wayfinder. With both Narcomoeba and Creeping Chill, I like to run less draw and more, “look at top, put the rest in the graveyard,” spells. That way there’s less feels-bad moments where you draw into a 2 mana 1/1 or a 4 mana Lightning Helix.
@victoriachusin2944
@victoriachusin2944 6 месяцев назад
I think those feel bad moments are why faithless looting shines, it's one mana, so it doesnt compete with your big two mana cards like founding and glimpse on turns one and three. if you replace it witha two mana card you slow your deck wayy down. not only does it save you if you do draw your wonders and amalgams but it'll refill your hand with other things you want. There's a reason it's banned in modern, there was a short time when a burn list even played the looting.

This is really similar to the Historic (I think it was) version of this deck you did. It's one of my favorite decks to play still. Off the top of my head I see Ox and Faithless Looting over Haunted Dead and Mesmeric Orb. I get the Haunted Dead not being here, Looting lets you do the discarding but lets you draw over getting the Dead back which I think is better. Is the Orb just too slow in this format?
@LegenVD
@LegenVD 6 месяцев назад
Orb has its moments, but it’s not as exciting as Glimpse. So giving ourselves a better chance of finding it early. The fetchlands also help play 3 colors so those are a change compared to the Historic build. The meta also favors the deck a little bit more I feel, since Historic is now filled with fast combo decks.
