Well, bare Basswood may be relatively soft but, with a such a hard polyurethane coating on it then it becomes far more dent resistant, PLUS Basswood will not violently react to sudden environmental shocks as other woods will so your finish won't end up potentially ruined over time BUT then again every Basswood guitar I've ever had wouldn't hold strap buttons for very long and sometimes even after I did the matchstick and glue repair trick to fix it.
The one thing I have noticed with some of the bolt-on guitars is that the sound is a little springier (or percussive). I'm not sure how to say it in English. The guitar that I have is the Jackson King V neck through, with a stop tail, and EMG pickups. It has a little more sustain, but less attack. Of course, it depends on the guitarist, but to my ears it sounds like the bolt-on models have a little more attack. Even Wolf Hoffmann said that he recorded his albums in the studio with a bolt-on Strat, and played the Flying V only in concerts.
Thank you ! I would recommend it if you open to spend a Lil extra like 1k I would also suggest the king v scot Ian baldini but for a budget guitar it kicks ass . And is a shredder ontop of a looker . It's gonna feel cheap type moment you get it but after a set up and some tlc . She's a beast. I actually was playing my js earlier on stream and was having a blast .
I have a Jackson js21. It’s my first brand new guitar real guitar. The tops 5 frets vibrate so after you saying you need to get setup. I’m really new to this. Is guitar center place to get it setup?
Yes guitar center can do set ups restrings . Usually a set up comes with intonation I would just ask for that specifically as well. It's a great guitar to get your chops up . Once you know some songs and can play your own stuff your gonna want a x series. For the moment you have a perfect guitar for starting. My first was a js23 back in 2010 and that was my work horse for years. Tell I graduated to higher up . Getchya pull anymore questions I'm here to help
www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JS32TKVAGBk--jackson-js-series-js32t-king-v-gloss-black/reviews . Pretty sure it's a king v js32t. ? Thanks but what do you think it's called I'm genuinely curious?
They are ferrules /bushings sorry I'm a nerd 🤓 I only know the name because I slipped on one I had dropped in the shop, just like in the cartoons, and ended up throwing my back out. So, it's sorta something I can't forget.
