fun fact: name of this brand is Skervesen, in Polish "Skurwysyn" means "Son of a whore", it's a joke, people outside Poland think that that's the name of the owner or some Scandinavian word, in fact they made fun of their own brand name.

Not all the pickup options sounded great wth Olas setup though. I think the coil split or something give it a wet pick attack.

@@matttaylor1449 Sounded like there was a different issue, maybe with the wiring. Definately shouldn't be that noisy.

@@josuastangl7140 there is no issue. WD mod is for clean tones. It's noisy like split coil.

The "world domination mod" is a mod where the second switch is switching between humbucking/coil-split/acoustic mod. The last one is supposed to be used with a clean tone to resemble an acoustic guitar!

@@hammersmashedbass3455 Nope, it's still the humbucker pups that are used. From their website: Q: What is Skervesen’s World Domination Mod? A: It’s a special electronic circuit available exclusively in our guitars. It contains high quality potentiometer(s) and two 3-way switches. With one you choose a pickup and with the second you choose between humbucking/coil split/acoustic mod. World Domination Mod is designed by Radek “Vicol” Wykocki Q: What is acoustic mod? A: It’s a mod we developed that makes the guitar sound similar to an acoustic one. Not a piezo pickup, but still worth having in your arsenal.

@@mobilemetal4554 It doesn't sound like a piezo/acoustic. It kinda boost the bass and makes it more fat. You can make nice warm tones with it, especially played with fingers. the world domination mod is a must have. Instead of just humbuckers you get 3 different possibilities to shape your sound. Just insane.

Little known fact: Skervesen makes the finest quality guitars on the planet. Had a Swan-6 multiscale built in 2014.... and now in Nov of 2020, I'm 1 month deep into my 4AP-6 multiscale. I currently own over 20 exceptional high-end guitars. I've owned well over 100 in my life. Skervesen..... is the best that money can buy. Period.

I am sorry to say Ola, but this is your best sounding guitar, video or whatever you put out throughout the years. There is something special about this one. Very organic and guttural , still modern and precise.

I don’t know why, but I think this is one of my favorite “my guitar” videos. Never played multi scale, shape is kind of funky, but I’m really digging the look of it. Haven’t gotten to the sound yet as I’m typing this, but I’m loving the look.

You went on a whole thing about voiced pickups leaning too far one way in terms of tone but then the very first chord you played on that Skervesen with the Warpigs in the bridge blew everything else out of the water. I'm not a dyed in the wool BKP loyalist or anything like that but this is one of the best tones I've ever heard on your channel.

@@scarletovergods It's intentional, it was confirmed by the owner of the brand. Apparently, "Oh, skurwysyn!" was the first reaction they got when they've shown the first prototype to someone and they've decided to just roll with it :)

The whole time I am changing them, I just wish I could go back to playing guitar. I am also hoping that a string doesn’t snap when I am tuning them. If you love changing strings, that’s awesome. Hopefully, someday I can enjoy changing strings.

I personally enjoy it because I'm excited for how good it'll sound and how the new strings will feel when playing. The only time I hate changing strings is if it's on a Floyd Rose type bridge. FR can go fuck itself, never buying a guitar with one ever again

The world domination mod is apparently meant to give a more acoustic, almost piezo sound on cleans. I'm guessing it's a coil split with a slight boost to match the full pickup volume and some other electronic magic that I don't know about.
