Bruh the match vs kamomedai end made me full on cry when I read it on the manga so I really hope that the 2 movies will be like AOT...movie 1 part 1 and part 2 and then movie 2
I still have hope that there is going to be a season 5. Movie 1 vs nekoma, Movie 2 vs kamomedai, and season 5 concluding the final arc. This perfectly makes sense and it all fits together. Although I might be coping because I just love haikyu so much.Or they could make a 3rd movie.

thing is, id say id rather the first movie be a masterpiece than the second. I think the final match was great and all but the peak of haikyuu was during those last two matches in nationals against nekoma and kamomedai.
Kamo is my favorite match in the series, so I hope you’re right! It’s just that there’s too much content to fit into one movie if they do both the matches in one.
You know...the only thing i really wanted out of Haikyuu was justice to Bokuto. I have never felt more desperate in my entire life...I just want to see the guy who inspired me with his embellished yet powerful philosophy of " Do what's fun, not what's easy" help others and make then fall in love with him. Is that really too much to ask? To see the most wholesome yet immortal and monsterous feeling character show us a plethora of sides we have never seen of him. For him to show...What It Means To Be An Ace... 🥲😔
Like it or not, but as much as you're a fan of Bokuto, he's only a background character (overrated for me but that's another debate). He helped Hinata's improvement in season 2, but that's all. He's minor for the plot, sacrificing his scenes to make more room to the main characters is logical. There can still be oavs, like they did before.
@@maouimaisnon2535This is just not true though? He made a massive impact on Hinata and Tsukishima and is constantly regarded as one of the biggest threats in the tournament. Later in the final arc, his plays on black jackals were crazy, as well as his attitude and personality being support for the rest of the team. He is a major character and I would call him a main character for at least the nationals arc, considering how we follow his/Fukurodani’s journey alongside Karasuno.
@@pokky9860 main character ?? Lmao we didn’t saw the same manga. Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima or maybe Tanaka are main characters. We literally see Fukurodani for some chapters in between Karasuno games for what is maybe 10 chapters at most ? That and the first match in the side arena at the beginning of nationals. Aside from that we just see him cheering on Hinata and commenting some parts of the game like any other side character does. A main character is someone who followed a deep physical and/or psychological development through the whole story. Bokuto doesn’t have that much screen time. That technically makes him a side character, as Kuroo, Atsumu or Kenma. Even Oikawa who isn’t a main character either has more development and screen time than him. Don’t let the way fans perceive him affect how important he really is (not for the others characters, but plot wise) : not that much.
As soon as I saw the announcement that it was going to be two movies, I immediately went to see how many chapters were going to be compressed, and Im just dumbfounded that this is what’s happening.
I think the same imo that's the "least worst" option. I still hope that they will adapt the Fukurodani vs Mujimazaka match in an OAV like they did for the tokyo qualifications in Riku vs Kuu. That's one my favs matches.
My guess is the kamomedai match is going to be really short since the build up to Nekoma vs Karasuno has more narrative significance. Basically the kamomedai match is going to suffer so the Nekoma match can take the spotlight I think.

Me too... I think bokuto vs kiryu is skipped in the movie... Is such a wasted... Coz their match is really good too... Nekoma arc bokuto match and kamomedai arc is only fit in season anime... Movie for time skip...
They should’ve at least done another season for the Nekoma vs Karasuno game, and then the Kamomedai vs Karasuno game. It would make most sense to take another season to cover that. And then they could make a finale movie with the timeskip arc and the MSBY Black Jackals vs Shweiden Adlers game. That would’ve been the most ideal way to do it.

Thinking the same thing about how they will split the arcs, but I still cant get myself to accept on how they will convert that much chapters in just 2 movies. And in the two matches we are awaiting so much, too! 😢

What if they switch their usual way, usually they'll do the TV series first and make a movie to recapp the arc like with seijo match and shiratorizawa. Instead they'll making the movie first and split it into seasonal episodic format and the can also adding scene, just like demon slayer with mugen train movie

Completely agree with you on this one, the nekoma match and the other match are going to be so rushed, it will be disappointing af..... but let's hope for a good last movie atleast.
I was always thinking that the story would go into the second year so they could really expand on those second years that are largely overlooked for the third veterans and the first year prodigies.
What they could do is probably speed up some scenes if that makes sense? So some of the less important scenes would play in real time as if they were in a match. With it feeling like a fast and intense match but idk
I can't imagine they'll show the rest of Karasuno's time at Nationals in the first movie. I figure it'll just be Nekoma for the first movie and Kamomedai for the second movie, with a sort of conclusion flashing to parts of Hinata's second and third years at Nationals, his training in S. America, his first match against Kageyama, and them together again at the Olympics. I would love a Steven Universe: Future for the Season 5 of Haikyuu in the future where they flesh out and actually delve into those parts that just flashed by to wrap up movie 2, but who knows
I've been thinking for a bit that skipping the final arc might be the best case scenario because I'd rather all the matches pre-timeskip to be done well than everything to be adapted and a large portion of it to be rushed. I think I'd rather haikyuu be unfinished than them doing a bad job
Why couldn't we just get a season3-esque S5 with Vs. Nekoma, and then a normal length S6 with cour 1 being the end of nationals and the second being the final arc
I believe the first movie is going to be only Nekoma and the second one Kamomedai No Barsil, no final arc ~ if the movies go well with the audience maybe we receive a third
I feel the first movie might cover nekoma and second one kamomedai. The latter could be very rushed so that they can also cram in the time skip stuff or maybe all of that will probably be just a couple minute montage, considering they showed quite a bit of it in the announcement but no way are they giving it an entire movie with both the matches stuffed in one. We're not getting the fukurodani match anyway. Man this breaks my heart. I hope that they at least give in to the disappointment and announce atleast one more movie so that nekoma, kamomedai and time skip each get the time they deserve and then maybe they can show us a couple minutes of of fukurodani's match :(
According to Japan right now, Movie 1 just have Nekoma, which fears me if they rush Kamomedai because that is probably one of the best matches and cut it to just 1 hour and 30 minutes, then the rest of the screen time for the beach volleyball arc with the final match at the end for probably like 30 minutes Only way to fix this is to release a really long movie or have a short season just for the final chapters, or just have Movie 2 part 1 and part 2 😂. Come on, AOT did it so it is possible
When I first heard that Haikyuu only has two movies left (no anime season 5 mentioned) I called BS cause like you said, it's 110 chapters and 4 arcs. That's easily two seasons worth of material, and they're turning it into 2 movies? Like, if it was 3 movies it'd actually be believable, because Nekoma and Kamomedai matches respectively can be movies of their own (Kamomedai would suck emotionally for viewers tho cause we know how that ends XD)
The unfortunate reality, even before the first movie was released is that Anime movies rarely tack over 1hr 45 min so 3hr 30 min total which is no where near the time necessary unless they plan on showing the remaining tournament matches Karasuno is involved in and then just speed through all remaining content, which would be a HUGE mistake in my opinion and after watching the first movie today I have to say I think that’s what they are going to do.
I think haikyu needed at least 1 more season and it could finish with either another season the last one or i could end with a movie to make it more cinematic
Well...I really wish this way. movie 1 -- Nekoma movie 2 -- Kamomedai + the rest of high school days (FINAL means the games for high schoolers) Season 5 TV series: after graduation (adult players) please NOT to make them short.
Bokuto's game is minor and not significant at all for the main plot. He's only a background character. They have to focus on Kamomedai and Nekoma's parts because they are the parts that need to be perfect. They can still do an oav to cover Bokuto's part.
I had the same reaction when they announced 2 movies for 110 chapters 110 chapters I really want them to release special episodes for bokuto vs kiriyu just like nekoma qualifucation arc
I could be okay with this, I could see them ending the first two arcs quickly and then getting to the real "ending" by going through his training arc in Brazil. That's the one I really want to see and if that's what they focus on most, I'll be happy enough!
Either way ik they could still make it a masterpiece like the 1st movie could be nekoma and karasuno and then end off w hinata getting sick(such a great cliffhanger) then start the second movie from there it would makes sense if the movies are about 3-3:30 each but we never know i just wont judge either way cus its already a privilege to have 2 MOVIES
