This is another face I had never seen before vs the one from the media like a small earth quake ravaged poor village and villagers. Actually, it s beautiful and life goes on. The infrastructures are far better than in most african countries (congo-kinshasa for ex where i am originally from). The haitian people I see here are beautiful, good looking, and everything seem normal! But why? Why others in america, antilles or europe tend to look down on haitians. This video changed this view on me and i'll let others know about this beautiful side of haiti and haitians. Much love from South Africa!

Beautiful country! My boyfriend is Haitian and once i met him, i immediately fell in love with everything Haitian... He's going back to Haiti later this year and I cannot wait to go myself! Haiti is on the come up, though. Just wait on it

If you are a DIASPORA and have not been in Haiti for a long time, I would definetly tell you to go this summer 2014, if you would like to go on vacation somewhere. There are a lot of CONSTRUCTIONS going on in the country, and a lot of new things that have been constructed since the earth Quake. And Port au prince is changing a lot, a lot of new things in Port au prince. Martelly is doing a good job. Don't listen to anybody who tell you about safety , Haiti is now the SAFEST COUNTRY in the Caribbean, it has the lowest crimes rate, according to the recent study that has been conducted. To all FOREIGNERS and DIASPORA go enjoy Haiti. Also if you want to invest , it is a great time now to do it , the government create an atmosphere that is good for investors
Like in all nationalities there is good and bad. I have met lots of people from haiti, some were very bad and some were good. From talking with them some told me not to travel there because of the kidnappings and rape. While others told me if I travel to haiti go with someone who knows the country because of the corruption, so after being told this I decided not to go.
In 2010 many nations including usa had a HUGE fundraiser for them there was billions donated & Clinton bush foundation was incharge of it! This is WHY I'm NOT Voting Her! Stealing from the sweet folks like this!
Angie, I AGREE! It doesn't matter where the $$$$ comes from, it's pure CORRUPTION plain and simple when the Governments of the world get greedy, and they rip off poor countries like Haiti. It's despicable. It doesn't matter whether it's the US, the U.K., France (which SHOULD do WAY MORE to help Haiti by the way, which it doesn't because I think the French government is embarrassed to admit that Haiti is a French colony, but IT IS, and they SHOULD be doing more), Israel (Israeli Doctors did A LOT in Port Au Prince after the earthquake actually, they saved people's lives -- Israeli Doctors at the BEST in the world!) Iran, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia (think of ALL THAT $$$$ from OIL! Don't you think that could help Haiti????) No one ever thinks on a truly global scale, which is what we NEED TO DO in order to make sure $$$$$ ACTUALLY GOES to places like Port Au Prince and Legoane, and other parts of Haiti devastated by both the earthquake, and more recently, Hurricaine Matthew. I'm disgusted with governments all over the world, because of corruption stealing from those who need it most. Don't even get me STARTED on the U.S. Government (I will NEVER stop!) because when something like this happens, it makes EVERYONE ALL OVER THE WORLD have a lower opinion of the US, and what pitifully little we ACTUALLY DO to help other countries and their peoples. It's VERY SAD to me.
