I assume they messed up and couldn't use what they had. Rather than admit it, they just gave us this bogus rationale. Who knows, maybe they did use that time to make an effort to collect more evidence, that wasn't deemed inadmissible and just couldn't find any? If he is guilty, he looks like the type to run his mouth (when he's not sitting in an interrogation room). Hopefully, he'll snitch on himself one day. I hope the families can find closure.

I would assume from this report that the system failed here and he got off on a technicality.
