This was recorded a couple of years before she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and she wasn’t the one who wrote it. The woman playing the piano was the writer. Joey has another song about losing her brother, called “See You There”. He died in a car crash. The world lost a beautiful soul when she passed

Her name is Joey.. His is Rory.. We lost her to cancer a few years ago.. Both of them can sing well. Their youngest daughter has Downs. But she sings with Rory now. She calls him Papa. They were a beautiful loving couple. She is missed

The song was recorded at their farmhouse near Columbia Tn. Rory has said that recording the scene where he was crying in the rocking chair was really hard as he imagined not having Joey with him. Joey actually was off camera sitting beneath him holding his hand. Joey is actually buried in the small cemetery near the farmhouse in the video. I’m fairly sure Joey did not have cancer at that time. It’s just heartbreaking that what they filmed that day was played out in real life later. Even more heartbreaking that their daughter Indiana was just a toddler when Joey passed. Indiana’s middle name, Boone, was taken from one of the tombstone’s in that small cemetery. I think Rory and Joey’s love story would make wonderful Hallmark movie. From the time that Joey first saw Rory at a songwriters night in Nashville, where upon seeing him said she would marry him, to the tragic ending. And in between, their successful country music career and the successes Rory has seen as an entertainer, songwriter and movie maker, And most importantly a father.

the man in the video IS Rory. he is also singing harmonies with her. she was pregnant with their daughter when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. Joey died march 4th 2016, and because she didnt want to hurt the baby, she refused treatment. she lived a little while after the baby was born. their little girl was born with downs syndrome. this song is extremely heart breaking, but it was released 4 years BEFORE Joey passed away.

There is something transitional to this song. I have lost family through a car crash and many through illness. One is being hit in the face with a baseball . the other is knowing you can not do anything but love them every day and make as many memories as you can . My brother was killed with 3 others when a car went through a stop sign . To this day, my mom still has a hard time looking at his picture. These songs are the best to remind you that everything is going to be ok. To hold on and that life has much more to offer. That they will be waiting for us on the other side. Look at the beauty around every day .

Joey is the one singing and Rory (in the video) is her husband. They both sang and they have some together you should definitely check out. Also, they had a beautiful little girl, named Indiana aka Indy and she has down syndrome. I believe she was a year old or somewhere around there when her mama passed. Rory and their daughter, Indiana have a song together too that you should check out and it's called Papa what if and it's the cutest and sweetest song ever in this world. Please check it out sometime, I'd appreciate it.

Heartbreaking song. They were such a loving couple. “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” by Glen Campbell has a similar feel to it. He recorded it while suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Her name is Joey. His name is Rory. Joey got cancer soon after the birth of their Down Syndrome Daughter Indiana. Rory was Married before Joey and has two older Daughters. Rory and Indiana were eating out one day and their song came on and Indiana says, Mamma!

Mrs. Britt, I admire the courage and faith it takes to sing a song like this, I can't even listen to Mrs. Joey sing this song without crying. But, on the other hand, one could view this in the same light as I think I still love you by Chris Stapleton that you reacted to a couple of days ago... it'll be alright cause we'll meet again and dance together for eternity !!

I don't that this would be a great reaction but personally, you should listen to "In the Time That You Gave Me". Joey and Rory were so deep in their faith. I love that song. The best we can hope for is that God will be pleased with what we do in the time that he give us.

She didn't have cancer at this time. Sadly a lot of people keep spreading that false information. They had a child with downs syndrome a couple of years after making this video, and then a year or two later they found that she had cancer.. So they had no knowledge at this time that this song would be prophetic to them.
