Awe this is so sweet. She was a special dog. I had a male jack russel and he started to have seizures. They put him on phenobarbitol. It helped for many years, but then he got filled with fluid from heart failure, they drained him, but he would fill up again. I love my jacks. The only one that did not have seizures was the mother dog. I loved them so much. I now have a red beagle and a tri female beagle. I love them so much. Red beagle is 12 yrs old and the female is 5. Thanks for sharing.
Kayla, what a beautiful memory of Sophia. Sad but beautiful memories. I lost my 3 1/2 lb Chihuahua. I had him for 12 years when he died from C.H.F. had him on heart medicine but his heart just gave out. With Gods help the pain will ease up. I'm not going to say it will go completely away because shes lives in your heart and memories but a little easier as the days turn to weeks and months. Praying Gods Holy Spirit will comfort you. Jesus said when he goes to the Father He'll send the Comforter back. He's our Comforter. God bless you and your lovely family.

My heart is broken for you. Sophia was precious and she was very lucky to have you all adopt her. It is so hard loosing our furbabies they are a part of the family. We recently adopted a 6 year old female dog from the shelter and I am so attached and I hate to think of when she passes. I have lost so many sweet animals in my lifetime and it never is easy. I dread the day I have to say my goodbyes to our 3 sweet kitties Mango, Cash and Miracle and our older female dog Gravy Biscuit. My prayers and thoughts are with you all during this difficult time and Sophia is running pain free on those streets of gold waiting for the day to meet you all again. Chihuahuas are such sweet creatures. 2 of my granddogs are Chihuahuas. The youngest was adopted from a local shelter and she has stolen our hearts for sure. Hugs to you.

I adopted my Chihuahua/dashound from a shelter when she was 5. I've had her for 5 yrs now. She is my baby. I can't imagine life without her. I also bond super strong with my babies. When u feel something nudge ur pillow at night u will know its Sophia.

Our fur babies are just like kids. We probably spend more time with them also. This made me cry. I know we get a broken hearts but the love we get in return is so great.

I have a little Chihuahua baby myself. I cried with you through this entire video. Since my son was born 2 years ago I am shameful to admit that my Chihuahua baby has been in 2nd place and this video made me realize I need to cherish him more like I used to. His name is Yogi Bear!

Oh dear, I was crying right along with you. Fur babies often pick their human. I lost my Amy December of 2017. She had been my mom's cat which I took in when my mom was hospitalized in 2010. She was my shadow and loosing her was like loosing my mom again.

We all have been through this, and when these kind of things happen, its hard for you because no matter what we say, the pain doesn't go away, only time can heal your heart, one day at a time. Ms. Kayla, I just found your channel & this is the first video I have watched but seeing how much love you have for Sophia just warmed my heart. It's not easy when you lose a beloved pet/fur baby. I have had my share of that terrible pain. Frankly, it sucks! Just know that she will always be in your heart. I am very glad that I found your channel.

Hugs to you...I lost my Gracie a few years ago..she was fine but did her business in the house..so I called the vet and they said rush her in..but on the drive she passed..they tried to revive her but it was too late..she was 10 yrs old Prayers to you...its not easy...hugs..
My dad n I often talk about our little friends in heaven. We both have lots very very close babies that are in heaven. We just don't understand why God limited their life spans so short. But I do know each one brought us years of love n happiness and our memories eventually make us smile. She was a gift and although you are very sad, you are very lucky she was in that kennel.
My condolences to you. I dread the day my dogs pass 😢 I agree with another comment I saw here, it sounds like she was poisoned or got into something poisonous. So heartbreakingly sad. Just glad she was given such a loving home with someone who loved her so much. The kind of life all dogs deserve.
