Mamba 2004 motors were the sweet spot for me. They work excellent with the stock escs on 4s. Was able to top out at about 85mph and get atleast 15 min of flight time with a 2200 3s.
I still have mine sitting in the Hangar. It's going to be my spring build for sure. I'm thinking of running 3s LiIon pack that I'm going to make out of 18650 molecel p26a
Hi Lee Great video and review of the HEEWINGS T-1 I really like this one, I really like that you are able to take it apart so easy for transport. If I go flying I will go with a trailer with my planes, wing and as many quads as I can fit. I like how the wings plug in, and the tail unplug. It will fit in the trailer really easy. Thanks again for the video and information
Looks like a nice setup. Look forward to seeing what you do with it and how it flies! The price looks pretty good! The space they give you looks like you could easily fit an FC
So I ordered one of these today. Do you think the H743 slim would be good in this thing. The controller prices just don't seem to be worth saving dollars on an F7 series to me. Great vid. Totally sold me.
Received mine a few days ago. Could you possibly show me how to wire it up as a simple RC twin motor airplane ? I have a Radiomaster TX16S a Radiomaster R86 receiver and the TBS Micro TX II
All of the connectors at the sides of the bay are marked with what they are. Servos, ESC and LED. Connect the y cable used for the LEDs into the ESC connections and then you have one connection for the elevator, aileron and ESCs. Then plug in the servo lead from the power distribution board into a spare channel on the reciever to power it... Best of luck
Hi lee, huge fan of your channel i just go this plane, thanks to your video, i love it! do you think 4'' props (HQ 4025 bi blade) will work nicely on PNP version 3S? thanks!
I've not tried any other blades other than the ones supplied. I've not felt the need for it. Changing the LIPO cell count makes it a very different model. 2S is very lazy, 3S is fine for everyday exploring and 4S is crazy!
Oh I think I'm going to have to get this one. Loving how it breaks down! I drive a smaller vehicle, so this is pretty much exactly what I am looking for to put my spare Maytek f405 in! If you have a moment, can you help me out with a problem I'm having with my quadcopters? I can't get more than 6 channels on my Crossfire nano receivers. I'm using my Mambo transmitter with my crossfire unit and can only get two functioning aux channels in betaflight and kissfc. I've setup the inputs and mixes on the radio, but only getting two aux channels instead of four. So, I've got the main four channels for aileron, yaw, pitch and roll, and then aux 1 for arm, and aux 2 for beeper. I can't get the last two channels for aux 3 and 4 at all. My Babyhawk 2 hd, flywoo explorer lr, or my kissfc alien have them. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? As always, love your videos and help!
I'd check what the settings are for the receiver in the TBS Agent/LUA script on the radio. They may have the number of channels limited.. Best of luck!
they now do spares for it as well on aliexpress and you can get an insta go 2 mount for the top air inlet and also a better holder for bottom. also a carbon tail upgrade as well
great video as always. I've got a 7" quad on DJIv2 Airunit/CSRF on and looking to buy in addition a wing. I'm hesitating between the AR WING Pro, TBS Caipi v2... or any other?
@@Painless360 thank you and congratulations for your involvement in that project. I wanted to go 6S as I have 6S packs on my 7" quad... but the PNP kit is on 4S... I was told that the PNP version was very decent; so I believe no need to get the kit and stuff it with other motors, etc etc
Hi, we need another video on flight controllers. New stuff out there, and iNav choices are down in this transition to H7. We can’t tell which FC’s for fixed wings include a PDB and which don’t…
I'd always look at the Matek FCs for wings series first. Lovely INAV information and wiring diagrams on their website make building a piece of cake. What specifically are you unclear about?
I'm currently trying to assemble and set up this plane. But I can't figure out how to connect the flight controller to the power distribution board. There are two questions: 1. How to power the flight controller from the power distribution board? 2. How to supply power and control from the flight controller to the ESC in the wings?
Connect the battery to the better input on the FC as normal. Cut off the XT60 from the two power wires from the PDB that comes in the plane and solder them to the power output pads on the FC. Simple. Best of luck
@@Painless360 I thank you for your answer! Flight controller power issue resolved. But I still don't understand how to supply power to the ESC? Do not use pads for ESC on the flight controller board at all?
could you show an image on instagram or something showing how small this is in it's disassembled form with all the components bundled up for transportation - including removing the tailboom? Does the vertical tail come off easily for transportation as well? Thanks!
Check out the answer already in the comments re the box size. The dimensions of the pieces unassembled will be about an inch less. Vertical stab isnt made for easy removal at the field but does come off using one screw... best of luck
fast and very fast - means the channel is free and the ESC can be put on a 3 position switch: off - fast - super fast I can reuse the free channel for servo control of a fpv camera - just kidding. Like the new one as explorer
