22:44 that audience member was right. That's prob why Brina doesn't come to many of these things. Y'all take it too far. They dont find it funny. All that drama stuff online they're not that into. Like your constant shipping questions, they dont get it. A majority of the cast actually do love Mineta. They had a hard time guessing here because they really dont understand. And that guy saying "you cant be a creeper" has to sit down. These conventions are filled with creepers with creepy questions and comments.
Exactly! I think it's a generational thing. The voice actors are adults and they distinguish reality from fiction while most online Otakus and convention goers are teenagers. For some reason, teenagers nowadays can't distinguish between reality and fiction. A fictional character can be awesome and really well-written even if they were evil, perverts or horrible people. For example, Hisoka in HxH id one of the most loved characters back in the 90s and in the reboot in 2011, but new fans who watch HxH now want him to be killed off and bully anyone who likes Hisoka because they can't understand the concept of fiction. Fictional characters shouldn't be regarded as real people. If Hisoka was a real person, everyone would hate him and condem his behaviour, BUT he's not a real person. He's a cool animated fictional character. Mineta is a comedic relief, but again angry weirdos take his character way too seriously and bully his VAs, which is so freakin' stupid.
@@suea8264 oof thank you 🙌 and I could understand if they say his characters antics shouldn't be condoned but they don't have to be so harsh about it. It's not a crime to like him as a character. They take the jokes at cons too far and some aren't even clever, just rude. But I hope ppl just leave him and Brina be. And try and exercise "if you don't have anything nice to say, then do t say anything at all". Saying something nice once in a while could brighten up the VAs day.
@@suea8264 no one is obligated to like a pedo or a harrasser. people who attack victims of SA for being uncomfortable with those characters are not victims of bullying.
@@skittyjive9135 That's not what I said AT ALL. People can hate whomever they want. They have the right to feel uncomfortable by any character. The point is that they need to realise they're fictional characters and that they have no right to attack fans of said characters let alone make the VAs of those characters uncomfortable & feel unloved. There's also an obvious hypocrisy in the MHA fandom. Mineta, a 15 year-old teen, is despised to the point that fans harass the author to kill him off & annoy his VA to no end. On the other hand, Midnight, an adult teacher who lust after her teen students & tells them that they turn her on, is praised and loved by those same people because she's 'body positive' & expresses 'her sexuality freely'. Her VA has never been made uncomfortable and nobody bullies her fans. It's just BS. Love & hate whomever you want, but leave people love who they want too. It's all fiction at the end of the day & the VAs are just doing their jobs.
Jason is such a sweet, amazing, vulnerable man!! I almost cried when he talked about his mother abandoning him, and I always appreciate how open he is and how he tries to make the best out of his situation no matter what. Couldn't have found a better Dabi VA!!
